Camping pod
From £45 1 night, 2 adults
Wigwam Cabins are often called glamping pods or camping pods and they are very comfy and warm if you want to avoid the hassle of bringing a tent. All our cabins are fully insulated and heated. They will all be provided with a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, heater, picnic bench, seating and bed/mattress. The central sleeping platform is easily dismantled, giving a roomy, light and versatile interior for daytime use. These cabins sleep up to a family of five. Check in from 2.30pm on arrival day, departure by 10am prompt on last day. You will need to bring all other items with you such as crockery, cutlery, glasses, bedding, towels and more. If you lose or break a key or lock there is a charge of £10 to replace the affected items.

Liked: Tranquil setting very quiet. Working equestrian centre with very nice owners. Everybody we spoke to whilst there was very friendly. The facilities were clean when ever we used them. You are asked to leave as you expect to find them. Which you would do at home. Would use again when back in the area.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at The Ranch. We booked in for 4 x nights camping and found the site to be spacious, accessible and quiet (small site, adults only). We were rained out on the first night (leaky old tent) and we were unable to camp after that. Luckily one of the glamping pods was free so we switched. The pod was cosy, with heating and basic cooking facilities and light and spacious with lovely views across the fields. The owner was very helpful and refunded the camping fee that we'd already paid which she wasn't contractually liable to do. This was great. The other visitors on the site were very friendly and helpful and some of them were regulars, staying in static caravans. It's a basic site but totally adequate for our needs with hot and cold water, toilets, good showers and an indoor washing up area. It's in a beautiful rural location and we were surrounded by birdsong and saw hares. Local amenities are within 15 mins walking (5 mins in the car) plus we were well placed for exploring the coast and the moors. We would certainly go there again if in the area and would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful and friendly holiday.

Liked: Absolutely everything. The location is peaceful, the owner is absolutely lovely. Quick walk to Seamer Fisheries or the local pub. One of the best campsites we have stayed on. Will definitely be returning. The facilities are basic but thats all you need. The shower is most definitely hot! you cant ask for a better more peaceful time away.
Disliked: Slight minor issue was no hot water came through for washing dishes.

Camping pod
Liked: Well-designed and well-equipped pod (with a heater!) next to a water tap and with a great view over fields and hedges. It felt private because we were at the end of the site. Friendly. Spotlessly clear, as was the shower/toilet block.
