What customers say
This peaceful rural site, located on the edge of Dalby Forest, is praised for its beautiful views and friendly, accommodating owners. Facilities, including showers and toilets, are generally found to be clean and well-maintained. The site is ideal for walking and cycling, with many guests appreciating the quiet atmosphere and the company of the farm animals and dogs. While some mention the remote location and potential for boggy pitches in wet weather, overall, visitors highly recommend the site for a relaxing getaway and many express a desire to return.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked What is not to like about this place. Peaceful, amazing views.
I picked the site mainly because of the easy access to the red route (Section 24) is literally across the forest drive from the site entrance gate.

Lovely site in a beautiful forest
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Beautiful and peaceful location. Hosts very pleasant and welcoming, even when you turn up on the wrong day. Facilities are limited but everything you need and reflected in the price. Will definitely be back
Disliked Nothing. The owners do have two dogs who come to visit but our dogs were fine with this, may be different if you don't like dogs or have reactive dogs.

Excellent good value site.
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Spacious pitches with view over the fields and forest. Small campsite with friendly owners. Very close to Dalby forest for walks or cycling direct from the campsite.

Great location. Friendly farm. Fresh eggs.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely views from nicely run homely farm. Bought fresh eggs from the owners. Electric hookup was alright but possibly didn’t need it. I think there was only one electric hookup for camping pitches. The toilets and wash areas were ok. If they are wanting more people I think they need better wash facilities. Plenty of signs about explaining things about the site. Nice to be left alone to sort yourself out. Two dogs running about were great. Very friendly.
Disliked Shower wasn’t great. Plenty of how to operate directions signposted but that doesn’t mean they work. We believe the water ran out, showers are coin operated. £1 paid for no water isn’t ideal. Pitches were uneven with molehills and long grass. No defined areas could imagine if it gets busier there might be some disputes over pitch size/ spaces.

From the manager: We did have a problem with the showers. The instructions say check for 2 green lights. Due to a faulty water sensor the red "No Water" light was lit. If a coin is inserted when there is no water it is returned. The fault was cleared within 30 minutes of being reported. We do not have designated tent pitches, most find a flatish spot We were full this week end but there were still several areas in the shelter belt not in use. Sorry about the resident moles, we regulaly flatten the mole hills but the moles can build them faster then we can flatten them. Grass cutting this week and every week weather permitting.
Site owners are brilliant explaining how everything works
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Plenty of space given to each tourer our daughter was allowed to pitch her tent next to us instead of on the tent pitch
Free WiFi was an added bonus especially for the 2 grandchildren
Fantastic location with great walks and scenery
Disliked Shower and toilets were clean only issue was at busy times with only 1 shower per sex available we did have wait but we overcame this by showering earlier

Clean, friendly and beautiful out of the way camp site, lovely owners
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Really chilled and beautiful location, the site owners were loverly and really helpful. I will definitely revisit for another stay.
Disliked They could increase the washing, toilet and pot washing facilities, just to make it easier for guests. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means! But would have gotten them an extra star.

Excellent site. The cleanest site we have ever stayed on.
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Impeccably clean site in a perfect location for walking and mountain biking.
Disliked Nothing to dislike
Recommend to friends Visit again
Great little, slightly rustic site but very peaceful & friendly hosts.
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Quiet, rural location. Owners lovely people. Didn’t use facilities or hook up as van is self contained.
Great for walks into the forest and lots of bird life.
Disliked Only fault I would suggest is grey water emptying would have to be via bucket as disposal route is via elsen point.
