This peaceful rural site, on the edge of Dalby Forest, offers stunning views and direct access to walking and cycling trails. A must for peace and quiet and stargazing
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Campsite is easy to find, well signposted on arrival. I had to drive through Dalby Forest to get here, as long as you don't take more than 30mins it's free of charge. Took me approx 15mins from start to finish. Signs at the campsite directing you where you can pitch. Pitches are perfect, flat ground throughout with trees dotted around.
The owners were very friendly and welcoming.
Bathrooms facilities very good, well equipped with toilet roll, hand soap, washing up liquid, paper towels and they were very clean.
The location is brilliant, only a short walk out of the campsite into all the walks around Dalby Forest. The views are brilliant, very peaceful location with lots of wildlife around.
This campsite is a must if you like stargazing, hopefully you'll get a clear night. The night sky here is one in a million.

Basic sure. Top location.
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked This a no nonsense site. Feels a bit retro (which was a plus) compared to more modern sites. Basic facilities in a fantastic location. A small fee for EHU (which I normally wouldn’t bother with for an overnight). This meant toaster and coffee machine could be used. Cycle routes straight out of the site. Recommended

First time camping for my son…
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked First time camping for my son (11 years old) and it was all we could have asked for. Rural and remote enough for it to be “proper camping”, but also had a lovely toilet/shower block that was very clean.
Owners were away when we arrived, but sent lovely emails to explain where to park, where to pitch etc.
Nice little posters up around site to explain how to use the facilities etc.
Met the owners on our second day. Both were lovely and welcoming. Had two dogs with lovely temperaments that my son took an instant liking to.
All in all a brilliant couple of nights away in a perfect setting.

Liked The simplicity of the site! Has everything you need without any faff! Beautiful views and excellent access into the forest. Much closer to the coast than I expected too
Disliked My only minor issue was with loose dogs as my own dogs would bark when they came over. Wouldn’t put me off returning though

WiFi on the pitch. 2 toilets…
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked WiFi on the pitch. 2 toilets for ladies, 1 urinal and 1 toilet for men. Shower (I believe you have to pay but looked clean enough)
Lovely quiet site, and surrounded by nature, we loved the horses and the chickens/cockerels.
Owner is lovely and find the email sent beforehand is extra handy in locating the site.
Disliked Absolutely no fault of the site at all, more of a warning but coming back though Dalby forest we were charged £5 and was definitely not longer than the free 30 mins - currently arguing this with national forest.

We had such a lovely stay…
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked We had such a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend it! The place was peaceful and had some absolutely lovely views. The owners were so friendly, welcoming and warm from the moment we arrived, We also have to mention the lovely doggy Doris🐶❤️ She was such a sweetheart the kids loved having her around! It’s a fantastic place for families, especially with children, as there’s plenty of space for them to have fun, play and enjoy themselves.
And of course, we can’t forget the early morning wake-up calls from the rooster!🐓😂 would happily stay again overall such a great place.
