What customers say
This campsite is highly praised for its friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and good location, being a short drive from Scarborough. Many visitors enjoyed the on-site bar, food options, and playground. While generally clean and well-maintained, some felt the facilities could be updated. Pitches are generally considered spacious. A minority mentioned occasional noise or overcrowding, particularly during busy periods.

Lovely site with minor problems , would definitely visit again
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked How quiet it was, site was clean . Checking in was swift also given a site tour.
Disliked No shop on site , hand dryers were poor and quite often ran out of toilet paper.
There were a lot of wasps but they were being actively treated.

Do not book this site. Cramped, noisy, violent, drunks, feral kids
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Learned I could pack a ten man tent up in the dark in 40 minutes. 😒
Disliked Wow, where do I start. Book this place at your own risk.
Check in, one staff member running around the site showing everyone their pitches, lots stood waiting for him to return whilst another man sat outside the office smoking not helping anyone.
Staff only being doing the job a few days because “the old member got sacked”, non electric pitches uneven, covered in nettles, wasps nests which were set on fire by staff, pitches so close to one another (if you extended your guy ropes fully you’d be in next doors tent kind of close).
Park on site for children, huge groups of long term stay kids bullying others, throwing things, being violent, swearing, all whilst their parents are nowhere to be seen. Running through private fields shouting and swearing all night, climbing over the staffs vehicles, horns blaring, nothing done when reported. Children were picking up a small dog and throwing it.
Clubhouse open over weekend, music going on past midnight which was very loud. Alcohol being served well past licensing hours.
Toilets/showers, only 3 for a large site and they’re between clubhouse and park so have to walk through drinking, smoking adults to access felt very uncomfortable.
Permanent caravans overlook tents and dogs barked throughout night setting dogs in tents off.
No camp fires allowed, probably for the best due to how close the tents are pitched.
Pot washing facility, only cold water and roof caving in.
Neighbours so close in tents you can hear everything. Ended up being sworn at for asking for a little quiet at 11:45pm so we decided to pack up and leave.
Have spoken to what I assume is the owner on a mobile number, landline number doesn’t ring, who has accepted a refund and told me to send details across on text. Haven’t had a refund but did get a pocket dial where I overheard “I’ve had to do that to keep her sweet” which I assume wasn’t referring to me as nothing has been returned!
Do not book this site, believe every poor review you read. The photos are nothing like the site, the poor reviews are the real ones! We gave benefit of the doubt, I wish we never had.

It was ok but not sure if we’d stay again
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Handy for day trips to Dalby & Scarborough, also fishing lake right beside site that you can use for £10 a day
Staff were very friendly & it has a large pub with sky sports on
Disliked Unfortunately there were a lot of families and young children swearing constantly which spoilt our stay. Our kids were kept awake really late with swearing & arguments every night (we stayed 3 nights)
Pot wash area we cold water
Only 3 toilets & 3 showers for a large camping site right beside pub rather than camping field

Awful!!
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nothing!
Disliked After a long walk we arrived we were sent to a pitch that can only be described as a dog toilet.
After complaining were moved to the family field so although clear of faeces was very noisy.
No food on site cafe only opens on a weekend .
We had to walk an additional 2 miles back down a very steep hill to find the nearest shop.
Shower block adjacent to the bar tables door kept getting left open so had an audience when cleaning teeth.
To top it off had to pay 20p for a 2 minute shower.
I am always up for a challenge but this felt like the final insult & just added to a very depressing experience.
