Lower area fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (super)

Liked: Pitches are great We stayed on lower section which was very level on the hard standing. The site shop is very well stocked and open till 7 Fish and chips are nice too reasonable priced Showers stay on while showering instead of pressing a button all time. Mira electric showers. Good location for Scarborough or Filey We walked to Scarborough and Filey along coastal paths But there's a bus stop at end of road The plough pub is 15/20 mins walk away Pub and entertainment on site too

Disliked: Dogs only aloud in conservatory of pub so you feel like a bit of a outcast when the entertainment is on watching through the windows Shower pressure isn't great Only 3 showers on lower ladies block so at busy times need to wait Also they could be cleaner

Lower area fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (super)

Liked: Clean site

Disliked: Group of mixed sex teenagers playing around in ladies toilets. Camper van across from us kids through if so airplane around our car and van, we appreciate children playing but no control from parents, they just sat drinking and laughing, we moved car away. No room to move in older ladies facilities, showers.

Lower area fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (super)

Liked: Lovely site. Fully serviced pitch which was a lovely novelty!! No worrying about topping up the water. Close to local amenities, great coastal walk to Filey/Scarborough. Shower and toilet facilities very clean. Lounge bar and games room on site but we didn't use them this time around. Shop on site stocking anything you might need however a little bit pricier but that's the convenience that you're paying for :-) Pool on site, kids loved it and close to caravan. Dog park and play park. Staff helpful and accommodating. All good. Will visit again.

Disliked: Nothing really

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked: Playground was good for the kids. Dog field was a good size.

Disliked: Far too windy. Even after moving to an electric pitch behind the toilet block the wind broke two of our tent poles and we had to go home a few hours after arriving. All site shops only open Fri-Sun.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked: Location is great - we could pitch-up our campervan right to the cliff edge for amazing views of the east coast and sea. Facilities were fine, free hot showers, cleaning facilities for pot washing. The shower and toilet block was clean and nicely heated, which was welcome as the weather was windy and cold! :) Would definitely stay again.

Disliked: Not much really.

Local attractions

Leave the car behind: buses running between Scarborough and Bridlington pick up from the end of the Crows Nest Caravan Park drive and discount day tickets are available to keep more money for seaside rock. The kids will probably clamour first for Scarborough: there are the North Bay and South Bay beaches to bounce around as well as the traditional seaside fairground and donkey rides. But Scarborough’s also a hotspot for culture vultures, with the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Scarborough Art Gallery and Rotunda Museum alongside regular festivals and events throughout the year. Fab Filey is even closer: this Edwardian town has a five-mile stretch of sand and is backed by the peninsula and cliffs of Filey Brigg – this is the place to birdwatch and wildlife spot, with rockpools along the beach and many species of birds and beasts to see all year round. The 110-mile Cleveland Way starts here for hiking your way around Yorkshire’s history and heritage: Scarborough Castle, Whitby Abbey and Dracula tales, Mount Grace Priory and Rievaulx Abbey are all along the route. Away from the seaside and vampires, puff between Whitby and Pickering on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, veer between villages in the North York Moors National Park or get citified around York and Hull, all within easy driving distance of Crows Nest.
