General
- Basic, quiet site at the edge of a village in spectacular countryside
- Pitch up and wild camp in a rural location
- Wildlife habitat in scenic Swaledale among alpacas and rabbits
Pitch up and wild camp in a rural location on the edge of a quiet village with only alpacas (and rabbits) for company: if you want to get away from commercial sites then this is the place for you. This wildlife habitat in beautiful Swaledale has very few pitches available due to the nature of the land.
There's a chemical toilet provided in the barn and a fresh field spring (buckets are provided for you to take water to the barn to wash) but as the water is not drinkable, you are advised to bring bottled water for drinking with you. There is good access from the main road, the B6270, making the site an excellent location for walkers or cyclists.
As there are livestock in the field, if you bring a dog it must be kept under control and on a lead.

If you are travelling to Low Row from Reeth, the camping field is at the far end of the village on your right. You will pass a sign for Hazel Brow Farm on the left and Low Row United Reform Church on your right. The field is on your right just before the turnoff to Crackpot.
If you are travelling to Low Row from Gunnerside, the field is on your lefthand side opposite the turnoff to Crackpot.
The blue gate to enter the field is immediately adjacent to two houses (no connection to site owner).
If you are using a GPS to locate the site, please be aware that the postcode will bring you to the village and not the field. Please follow the directions in the listing and use the map in the gallery to find the site.
