What customers say
This site offers clean, cosy accommodation with spectacular views and peaceful surroundings, perfect for relaxing and enjoying walks. Guests praise the friendly hosts and well-equipped huts/pods. Located a short drive from the coast, it's ideal for exploring nearby towns. Some guests noted potential issues with farm animal noise and smells, and limited local services for dining. While generally well-received, the capacity for larger groups and extra charges for fire pits/BBQs have been raised.

Clean & cosy, but sound & smell of pigs puts you off your bacon sarnie
Tin shepherd's hut (adults only)
Liked Bed was comfortable. Hut was clean.
Disliked - smell and sound of pigs in pig shed, meant we needed to keep the windows shut, but it was then very warm.
- Given it's so remote, and given it's marketed as the 'wolds way' there's a high chance a lot of people will have arrived on foot or bike, so won't have a boot stocked with supplies. Also not really an easy walk to a pub or cafe, therefore it could be very nice to have a mini tuck-shop selling instant porridge, soft drinks and beers, chocolate, crisps, instant noodles, eggs, that kind of thing (by an honesty box maybe?)
- everything in the room was "yorkshire" branded, the books, wall-art... everything.... except the tea bags. Yorkshire tea would have been really appreciated. and some herbal teas
- long-life milk pots are rubbish. Would have been a lovely touch to have even half a pint of fresh milk in a little glass bottle in the fridge.
- email communications were poor, I asked when making a reservation if there was any access from the south and got no response. Also didn't receive any pre-arrival email, had to dig around to find address and direction instructions. The signage from the village and at the gate at the bottom of the lane was also poor - very hard to see the sign for the glamping & huts, we could only see the sign for the farm. If it was dark I've no idea how I would have found it (arriving by bicycle)
- Couldn't see on the website if there was a TV or not, would have been good to know (I wanted to watch the world cup), turned out there was a TV about the size of an iPad, but not portable, and could only get about 3 channels, low definition - probably not worth even having.

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback — we’re really pleased you found the hut clean and the bed comfortable. Just to clarify for future guests: we’re a small, family‑run working farm, so we don’t offer extensive utilities or large‑scale amenities. Everything we do provide is clearly listed both in the accommodation information and on our website, including the food options and what’s available in the huts. On communication, we’re sorry your message didn’t reach us. The booking platform’s messaging system can be limiting, and occasionally messages don’t come through as they should. For anything time‑sensitive — especially travel routes — the direct contact details in the confirmation email are always the best way to reach us. We appreciate your suggestions about signage, tea choices, and welcome touches. They’re thoughtful and helpful, and we’re already reviewing them to improve the experience for future guests.
Fabulous luxury stay for a couple
The Beehive cabin (hot tub)
Liked The cabin was great for us 2 as a couple. The views were absolutely spectacular and the hot tub was perfect to sit in and look out at the Yorkshire wolds.
The kitchenette had everything we needed for 2 nights including plastic glasses to use around the hot tub!
Disliked I can’t imagine the cabin would be comfortable for 5 people despite it having the bed space for 5. The bunk beds and sofa were used to store our bags, towels, spare clothes etc
It was a treat of a stay at £200 per night and upon reflection, I think to charge extra for both the fire pit and bbq was a bit too much. It would have been nice if just one box of wood/1 bag of charcoal was included in the £400 we paid and then the option to buy extra.

A small piece of perfection in the East Yorkshire wolds
Vale view camping pod (ensuite)
Liked These pods are a little bit of paradise in the East Yorkshire Wolds.
As with most things in life it’s the little details that mean a lot. If you used this as a bolt hole whilst on a walk you have your toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, all the little things that makes your stay easier.
From turning off the A64 you can’t believe how your life is calmed down when you arrive at the lodges.
Me and my son enjoyed the star gazing at night, watching the pheasants, deers and sheep during the day. It’s a tranquil location which allows you to switch off and have some peaceful quality time.
