What customers say
This park offers a family-friendly experience with good facilities, entertainment, and a clean, well-maintained site. While many praise the spacious pitches and friendly staff, some reviews highlight issues with toilet cleanliness, a lack of hot water in showers, and inconsistent noise management. Beach access is unavailable due to coastal erosion. Manager comments indicate ongoing improvements and attention to feedback.

Liked Not a lot
Disliked disgusting! No toilet roll for 2 days in toilet no hand wash our whole stay Thursday to Sunday. Spoke to security about it twice only toilet roll was refilled after speaking to them never the soap. Ended up going down to reception who phoned cleaning manager to go check them. The showers looked like the hadn’t been cleaned at all, full of mould on the walls, floors are never really clean in camping showers by the walls were gross. The pot wash stank of dirty drains, full of flies and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, definitely didn’t wash our pots in there that’s for sure. Spent all the money on upgrading the amusements and park, and adding an outdoor pool but then you go to the touring side and it’s an absolute disgrace. Wouldn’t return to touring site again after coming years it’s ruined. They are definitely all for the static caravans and don’t care for the campers at all.
Outdoor pool is just poorly set up, capacity is 77 people Hoover they only have 3 changing rooms so when it shuts and everyone gets out at the same time the cubicles are full. Absolutely cannot use indoor changing rooms even if you have a young child and it's freezing outside which is a joke. More than enough room for more changing rooms. Signs also point to inside and say indoor pool and changing but you can't actually access the indoor pool or changing so signs need changing as they go against what rules they actually set. Same for inside the indoor pool points to outdoor for lido but you can't access outdoor pool from the indoor pool.

Potential to be the best site ever
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked We stayed in our tourer, we loved the outdoor pool, splash park, BMX track, pantomime, the evening entertainment was great too! We really loved the market and car boot on site although that’s closing soon. We loved hearing owls during the night which was one of our highlights! Laundromat was great price too!! We actually spent quite a lot of time on site, where usually we use sites as a base and spend time
outside of the site exploring areas nearby! Skirlington is in a great location for all good places nearby
Disliked Although newly renovated site, the tourer site seems to have been neglected, including shower blocks. Alot of rats, even in the day including on the children play parks, but i think this could be sorted if more staff were to
do a little pick more frequently and empty bins more frequently too, maybe more rat traps or even get some pest control, another suggestion to make the site feel safer is have a car reg barrier for entry and exit, and also nobody checked our passes the whole week was there. Also having an indoor soft play would be fantastic addition as when it rains there is limited options for inside activities as there is so much outdoors!

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback. We’re really pleased to hear you received a warm welcome from the Reception team and found our staff polite and helpful.
It’s great to hear you enjoyed the outdoor pool, the activities for the children, the touring facilities and your pitch, and that you enjoyed your visit to the chippy too. We’d love to welcome you back again.
Thank you also for your comments regarding the toilet and shower facilities. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to look at where improvements can be made.
With regards to the electric scooters, these are not permitted on the park. We do understand your frustration when you see them being used, and we continue to remind owners and guests of the park rules. Unfortunately, it can sometimes be difficult for our team to identify which holiday home the scooter belongs to when we see one being ridden around the park.
Yes I’d definitely return

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the toilet and shower facilities. We appreciate your comments regarding cleanliness, the condition of the facilities and the smell of the showers, and we will make sure these points are passed on to the relevant teams.
We’re particularly sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your disabled scooter and accessing the footpaths. We understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must have been, and we certainly want our park to be as accessible as possible for all our guests. Your feedback regarding the high steps and access routes is really valuable and will be shared with our team as we look at where improvements can be made.
Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention. Your feedback helps us identify where we need to improve.
