  • Family-run site for adults only, 15 minutes’ drive from Bridlington
  • Barmston beach five minutes’ drive; Hornsea 15 minutes
  • Two minutes’ walk from a bus stop with regular services to Bridlington
Overdue for a getaway just for the grownups? Make your way to the small adults-only East Yorkshire site Laurel Park, just a five-minute drive from Barmston beach and 15 minutes from Bridlington, popular for its shellfish, fish and chips, lively harbour and beaches. This site is away from the noise of the seaside towns but still near enough to visit them with ease. It's in the small village of Lisett, just over 300 metres from the A165. A bus stop is two minutes’ walk away with regular services (the 136) to Bridlington, taking around 25 minutes. From there, it’s easy to reach Nafferton, Driffield and Beverley by bus or rail. There are no street lights in the village, so the stargazing at night at Laurel Park can often be spectacular. When you have a moment free, stroll over to the village’s Grade II-listed church (home to the oldest dated bell in England, from 1254) or the 1942 RAF station (once an airfield for the Halifax bombers) and squadron memorial to see a little of the local history. For meals out, there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the local villages and towns (including Bridlington), and for groceries, there are shops in Beeford and Skipsea (both five minutes’ drive away) or Bridlington. Back at Laurel Park, the family is keen to make your visit as cosy and relaxing as possible. The facilities include a luxury shower block with a chemical toilet and a grey water disposal point, as well as a disabled toilet and shower with ramp access. There are also security features, including electric gates (with electric keypad access) and mounted CCTV cameras. Look out for the ice cream van that visits every Sunday evening while you’re here too.

What customers say

This adults-only campsite receives consistently high praise for its immaculate, modern, and accessible facilities, including showers with ample hot water. Visitors highlight the exceptionally friendly and helpful owners, Lindsey and Pete, who go the extra mile for guests. The site is described as peaceful, clean, and well-maintained with spacious pitches. Its location is convenient for exploring the Yorkshire coast, with a nearby bus stop. Some minor road noise has been noted, but it does not detract significantly from the overall positive experience. Many guests express a desire to return.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Lovely small friendly site. Spotless brand new facilities that they have obviously put a lot of though and care into including making the site as accessible as possible. Good base for exploring the nearby coast. Would definitely book again. Excellent value for money.

Disliked I think because the site is so quiet otherwise you can hear the traffic from a nearby road in the background. Not enough to keep me awake though.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked We stayed at Laurel Park for two nights. The site is beautifully maintained and the toilet block is immaculate. This is a small site with a relaxing atmosphere and we would recommend it as a base for exploring the beautiful East Yorkshire coast. We visited Fraisthorpe beach which was defiantly worth a visit.

Disliked Nothing.
