What customers say
This is a peaceful, well-maintained campsite with friendly and helpful owners. Guests appreciate the quiet location, dark skies, and dog-friendly atmosphere. The on-site honesty shop is a popular addition, offering essentials, fire pits for hire, and homemade goods. Basic facilities, including portaloos and a communal fridge/microwave, are generally found to be clean. While some mention a lack of hot water for washing up and no showers, the site is highly recommended for its relaxed vibe and excellent value.

From the manager: Thank you for taking time to give us a review were sorry to hear that there were dog muck, this is irresponsible of dog owners if it were to have been reported we would have cleaned it up.
We love the fact you liked our touch on tea an coffee facilities and we have noted you would like to see a toilet installed due to the property been rented we have opted to keep our portloos and have added personal touches to these which are maintained by us.
Thanks again for visiting we hope to see you again soon

Great little site, beware of the cockerels!
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely site, friendly, spacious, mature trees around and a little play area for the grandchildren which they liked and they enjoyed the chickens. The place seemed well looked after. Would be a 9 if it wasn't for the cockerels.
Disliked We did get woken up by the cockerels very early the first night. I didn't stay the second night because I have health issues and I really need my sleep. We live near so I decided to go home in the evening and return the next morning to enjoy the rest of the weekend. Other family members did stay the second night and said they slept through it that time. Earplugs may be a good thing to bring if you're in a tent as those boys start up at the first crack of dawn.

From the manager: Thank you for taking time to review your stay the Cockerells were only with us for a short time as we were looking after them for someone whilst they were on holiday.
There no longer here now!
Many thanks
Fiona
