  • Dog-friendly site with touring pitches on the outskirts of Beverley
  • Hull 15 minutes’ drive; Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo 25 minutes
  • Hardstanding pitches a few minutes' walk away from supermarkets
Beverley: come for the horse-racing, and stay for the excellent walks nearby, the attractions at the redeveloped docks in Hull (15 minutes’ drive), or rugged North Sea beaches (half an hour). And when you do decide to make a weekend (or a week) of it, bring the dog along and stay at Beverley Holiday Park, just on the outskirts of this historic East Yorkshire market town (it’s 10 minutes’ drive from the town centre). Well-kept hardstanding touring pitches at the park are sheltered by mature trees and all have electric hook-ups; there are also modern toilet and shower blocks. The prettily landscaped site stretches over 44 acres with several lakes, so you’ve plenty of options for exercising any accompanying dogs. While there isn’t a shop, you only need to take a five-minute walk along the main road (the A164) to reach a shopping area with two supermarkets, a fast-food restaurant, coffee shop and petrol station. And of course, there are many more shopping (and dining) options in Beverley itself.

What customers say

This is a new, developing site with modern, clean toilet and shower facilities. The location is praised for its proximity to Beverley, with shops and amenities nearby. However, many reviewers note that touring pitches are on static caravan bases, making access difficult with high kerbs, and awnings cannot be erected. The £2.50 charge for showers is a frequent point of criticism. Ongoing construction is visible, and some guests feel the site is not yet suited for touring caravans.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Clean toilets and everything is fresh as the bits that are there are new.

Disliked The site is very much still under construction, the touring pitches are basically on static pitches not yet finished and compared to other sites it's very expensive for what you get with this in mind. You have to pay for shower tokens on top. Reception staff not very welcoming when we arrived but the groundsman was good.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Nice open site with a couple of ponds(to be fishing lakes in the future).
Immaculately clean shower/toilet block.
2 miles from Beverly center.

Disliked £2.50 for a 15 minute shower. Not used...
Would have paid £1 for a quick shower but not that much. Needs a rethink
Pitch was on a concrete base which had been a static van pitch. Could not put up my awning. I believe the site is being recreated as touring site. Restaurant and cafe will be built.
No wi-fi and my dongle would not pick up a signal so needs some kind of booster antenna

Liked Plenty of space clean tidy and nice toilet block

Disliked About 20mins walk into town. Would be nice if they had a shuttle bus a couple of times a day to take you into town. Not everyone wants to drive or walk both ways into town

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Peaceful and tranquil a short distance from Beverley. Site was fully serviced and large. Spacing between pitches good. Friendly staff

Disliked The roads within the site were very tight and made reversing on to the pitch difficult - had real issues with this and because of this I would not use this site again- as I prefer pitches with ease of access and egress.

Liked Friendly staff. Pitched us where we requested. Will be a lot better when it is complete. But we enjoyed the site.

Disliked A little pricey £35 for per night and then charge £2-50 to use shower which we thought was shocking.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The site has been landscaped well with pretty greenery and 2 ponds and one small fishing lake. The staff were also friendly. The toliets and showers were well kept and clean. The location to Beverley was great.
The site is clean and well maintained with brand new play park.

Disliked The pitches are set out for a static caravan so they do not have a dropped kerb for easy access to the pitch. A group of young adults near by were extremely loud until the early hours of the morning.

Local attractions

A jaunt into Beverley’s ancient centre rewards with the Gothic-style minster, cobbled streets lined with indie shops and restaurants, and the lively market on Wednesday and Saturday. Those of you with four-legged companions can give them a run on the sprawling Westwood parkland, and if you fancy a flutter on the horses, Beverley Racecourse (all 10 minutes’ drive) is open for flat racing on selected dates between April and September. Take a dive into the history of Hull (15 minutes) thanks to the Roman mosaics and Iron Age gold hoard found at Hull and East Riding Museum of Archaeology, or check out the recreated 1940s shops in the Streetlife Museum. When your kids are resistant to culture, you’ll doubtless find yourselves watching sharks and rays circle their aquarium at The Deep (half an hour), and there are also creepy-crawlies to view at Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo (25 minutes). If you’d rather observe wildlife in its natural setting, you might get to spot kingfishers and egrets in the wetlands at Tophill Low Nature Reserve (half an hour), or you can walk along the chalk cliffs at Flamborough Outer Headlands Nature Reserve (55 minutes) to watch the grey seal colony basking on the rocks below.
