What customers say

This is a small, immaculately clean and well-maintained campsite praised for its beautiful rural location and tranquil atmosphere. Visitors highlight the friendly and helpful owners, spotless facilities, and lovely views. It's particularly popular with fishermen and those seeking a peaceful escape. Some minor points include occasional sloping pitches and limited local amenities requiring travel for supplies. Overall, it's highly recommended for a relaxing break.

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Pitches are good , nice and peaceful, fishing lake , nice atmosphere around the site nice pub locally with a walk through the fields

Disliked Shame the local pub didn't do food , couldn't find a local shop to get provisions

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the peaceful pitches, fishing lake and local walks.
We’re sorry you couldn’t find a shop – we do have details of the nearest one on our information board, and we’ll make sure that’s clearer for future guests. We’re also disappointed to hear you didn’t find the cleanliness up to our usual standards, as this is something we take great pride in. We hope to welcome you back again soon.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked The beautiful peaceful setting. A small site but with plenty of space as owners have been sensible with number of pitches available. Dividers between the electric pitches were nice and each pitch came with a picnic table.

Extra special touches like washing up liquid and tea towels in the washing up area replaced daily. The woodland walk area was lovely too.

Felt comfortable letting our children explore by themselves

Disliked Shower at a set temperature which was perhaps a little too hot for some of our group. But very clean and tidy!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Great to hear that you enjoyed the peaceful setting, spacious pitches, and the little touches we provide around the site.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the showers. The temperature can be adjusted easily so we will turn it down. We try and make the temperature comfortable for everyone.

We’d love to welcome you and your family back again soon!

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked It was a lovely place to stay, the view was beautiful, and the toilets and showers were immaculate. There was lots for me and my friends to do, including a pub with a nice beer garden and very friendly staff. The owners of the campsite were also very hospitable and easy to get a hold of when needed.

Local attractions

If you’ve got kids in tow, treat them to encounters with ridiculously cute goats and sheep at Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm (15 minutes’ drive) and if the weather’s good, there are lots of spots for picnics there too. Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park (20 minutes) is another sure-fire hit with the kids, with anteater handling and donkey-grooming sessions, while you can all try the inflatable obstacle course at Alton Water Sports Centre (half an hour), or maybe have a go at dinghy sailing. Keen to get some more casting practice in? Suffolk Water Park (10 minutes) has a large fishing lake and a bait shop, plus a waterfront café, a nine-hole golf course and putting green for any none-fishers among you. For a big night out, hit Ipswich Waterfront (half an hour) with its riverside bars and bistros, and then catch a concert or an art exhibition at St Peter's by the Waterfront (20 minutes), in a former church.
