Large open field on the banks of the river teme

  • Spacious riverside campsite on a 250-acre hop and apple farm
  • A 20-minute drive from Tenbury Wells; half an hour from Worcester
  • Taproom (closed on Mondays) and a fishing lake; pizza on select days
There's a lot of talk these days about cutting down your food miles and eating local, but what about drinking local too? If you're vigorously nodding your head by this point, have a look at Orleton Court Farm, a 250-acre hop and apple farm in the Worcestershire countryside where fine ales and lagers are brewed on site. If you like a chilled pint, stays at this quiet, spacious farm site will likely involve a lengthy spell hanging out around the tap room (closed on Mondays). There, you can sample drinks made from the hops grown in the neighbouring fields on Tuesday to Friday evenings (from 5pm until close) and weekends (from 1pm until close). The tap room also does one of the meanest pizzas in the Teme Valley, with a wood-fired oven on hand to make every order extra crispy; food is available at set times on Tuesday to Friday evenings, and from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm on weekends. Live music is also available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Orleton Court Farm has more leisure facilities like an angling lake that's open to guests all day, every day (you can't catch your dinner here, though, as it's coarse fishing only). Any other points worth noting? Well, there's the web access, dog-friendly site rules, wild swimming and the wild spa with a sauna and plunge pool (for an additional fee). Paddleboarding is available to try on the river. There's also the fact that you're just over a mile and a half from the nearest butcher's if it’s barbecue weather. Mill Farm Country Retail Park, where there's a farm shop, is two miles away by road (it’s slightly closer if you're on foot and opt for the shortcut by the river).

What customers say

This spacious, scenic campsite offers a relaxed atmosphere with a popular on-site bar and brewery serving craft beers and wood-fired pizzas. Visitors praise the friendly staff and the freedom to choose pitches in various locations, including by the river or in an orchard. Entertainment, such as live music, is a highlight. While some found the toilet and shower facilities basic and occasionally needing improvement, the overall experience is highly recommended for its natural beauty and laid-back vibe.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked Everything was fantastic, spacious site, wild swimming, lovely atmosphere, great pub, great food, dog friendly, loads of toilets, very clean and fresh.

Disliked No hard standing pitches, because it’s all soft grass we can only go when the weather has been dry which is a shame as this is a site we would love to visit more frequently.

Teme-side non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The field was spacious (with three fields to choose from) so plenty of space to set up without being too close to others. Live music was really fun and prices of food and drink are reasonable and taste good too.

Disliked The men’s toilets (other than the ports potty’s) only had one cubicle which lead to lines and people mocking on door while you are in there pretty often, but facilities were clean.

Teme-side non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Amazing lake for fishing, caught every 5 minutes. Plenty of porta loos/water/sinks to cover a huge area. River was great fun too, location beautiful. Shame power cut so bar/pizza not available so will return to sample the well known stone baked pizza in future.

Disliked Nothing really

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked Lovely spacious site.
The portaloos dotted about are a great idea.
The brewery and the pizzas were really good :)
Exactly what was needed :)

Disliked Portaloos could have been cleaner but to be fair it was right after the bank hol weekend so probably wasn’t a true reflection of what it’s usually like .
