Liked: Amazing place to stay. The woods are beautiful with lots of nice fields to walk around. There are deer roaming around the wood which is magical. Plenty of spots to camp and you can collect your own wood. Gary the owner is really friendly and interesting. For a little comfort there's a shower, toilet and kitchen. I'll be coming back here in the autumn to see what mushrooms grow in the woods

Liked: First time “wild camping” absolutely loved it…. host really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Lovely finding our own spot (of course we chose the highest one and immediately regretting taking so much stuff- but think of the work out!) lovely walk along the river Avon straight from camp and to the village of eckington to the bell for dinner. Less than 30 mins to The Malverns, beautiful area. Lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting in the dappled sun, listening to the birds and looking out for the deer.
Disliked: The only one loo. We were the only ones there so no prob at all but I think if there were many others there I’d feel self conscious going to loo and waiting .. but that just my weirdness.

Liked: Wild untouched environment, the host (Gary) is very welcoming and friendly, options to put up hammock and plenty of firewood to collect from the woodland. It's true wild camping with a few creature comforts if you need them, definitely be going back.

Liked: Excellent stay at Rockridge. It rained all night which is my ideal tent weather. Nothing beats hearing the rain on the tent whilst your wrapped up inside. Nice secluded location and the host Gary was excellent. Nothing to complain about at all.

Liked: This is a beautiful location, close to the river, and has access to plenty of lovely walks. The village shop is about 2 miles away. I'm a hammock camper, and find suitable sites hard to find. Rockridge is perfect. There were so many different hang options, I was spoilt for choice. The lads were in bivvy bags, and had no problem finding clear, flat spaces near my hang. You can pitch wherever you want. The host was very friendly, helpful and really interesting to have a chat with. There was plenty of fallen wood around, and he was happy for us to use what we needed for a fire for our food and warmth. We reused an existing fire pit that was already on our pitch, but there were plenty of raised pits available for areas without an existing pit. The toilet and shower were large, clean and very nice. There's even a separate outside 'kitchen' area with a sink and hot water for washing up. Vehicles are parked on a level parking area, and a wheelbarrow is provided to transport tents and equipment to your chosen pitch. The site is terraced on an incline, so a certain amount of fitness would be required to reach the higher levels with a heavy barrow, but there are plenty of pitching options on the flat and lower levels, as well as close to the carpark. We woke in the morning to find fresh deer prints passing through our camp, but we all slept too well, and hadn't heard or seen a thing. Apparently, if you're quiet, they will come right up to you. We were obviously only quiet enough while sleeping. We really loved this site and will definitely be back many times in the future.

Liked: Gary and Marlene were wonderful hosts. Pitches among the trees were excellent. This is a real wildlife haven, and I was almost within touching distance of deer within an hour of my arrival. Facilities are excellent with clean shower and toilet facilities. They have a new al-fresco kitchen area which is a brilliant place to prepare and eat on a nice evening.
Disliked: There literally was nothing not to like! Pitchup have them listed as being able to park by your pitch, but it's not really feasible.
