What customers say
This is a peaceful, quiet campsite with lovely views and well-maintained, clean facilities. Reviewers praise the friendly and helpful owners, spacious pitches, and the overall relaxed atmosphere. While some mention basic facilities, they are generally considered functional and adequate. A minor point raised is the occasional noise from nearby farm work. A lovely, peaceful site within gorgeous Worcestershire countryside.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked We loved the peace and quiet. Listening to birdsong during the day and seeing red kites overhead was wonderful. At dusk we were visited by bats and by night the stars were spectacular. We were even treated to a shooting star show. The other campers were really friendly and there was a great atmosphere on site all weekend. It's fantastic that the site owners limit the number of guests to avoid it becoming overcrowded.
Whilst there is only one shower it's spacious and was clean and tidy during our stay.
The washing up area was adequate and had hot water available, which was an added bonus.
There's so much to do locally too. We visited Stokesay Castle, Ludlow, Tenbury Wells and Croft Castle. We had dinner at The Rose and Crown at Burford and breakfast at Mr Thom's in Tenbury Wells, both of which we can recommend.
This site gives excellent value for money.
Disliked The recycling area was already full to capacity on arrival. We took ours home with us so be prepared for this.
Despite clear signage, other campers used the hot water taps in the toilet and washing up area whilst the shower was in use, which either made the shower go cold or turn off completely.
We are usually staunch supporters of composting toilets. However, we couldn't get on with this one. The separator is supposed to keep yellow waste going into the brown section. However, the yellow section was frequently blocked with sawdust and the brown section was very brown around the rim, which wasn't particularly pleasant. Maybe it's a female anatomy issue but there doesn't seem to be an adequate margin of error to keep the two types of waste separate. There was no sawdust left by the early hours of Sunday morning.

Peaceful simple with amazing bird songs in day and stars at night
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The field had lovely surrounding views and was so peaceful. The stars at night was amazing to see and the bird songs in the morning was wonderful to hear.
Shower was lovely and clean and for a camp shower nice and spacious. It's really nice that not too many tents are booked in too so the field felt very spacious and open. I felt comfortable letting my daughter run around and play too.
Disliked My only negative really was the toilet. The design of the composting toilet wasn't the best which meant it kept getting dirty and everyone was getting sawdust where sawdust wasn't meant to go so the front bit would get blocked. It got to the point I was dreading going to the toilet.

A small but perfectly formed basic…
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked A small but perfectly formed basic campsite deep in the countryside. There are fire pits available, a covered area with a table and chairs and a couple of comfortable seating areas and a shepherd’s hut which has been converted into a shower room and separate compost toilet, with a washing up area and drinking water tap on the outside.
Disliked Nothing

Lovely and quiet, spacious pitches.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked It’s a quiet little site with a lovely shower and toilet. Possibly the nicest camping shower I’ve ever used. Very spacious pitches and a lovely friendly owner. We had an amazing weekend there. We have friends in the area and this will now be our go to campsite when visiting them.

I loved this campsite and will definitely want to come back.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked This is a lovely little campsite with clean facilities and fairly level pitches. There's even a decent little covered area with a table and chairs should the weather turn. The location is perfect too, away from main roads which meant there was no background traffic noise.
Disliked There is only one toilet and shower. Not a problem when I stayed, but might be tricky if the site was full.

From the manager: Thank you for your feed back, we glad you enjoyed the peace and quiet, away from it all, the shared covered space was a new addition last year, and its getting a great response, as a 7 pitch site, 1 toilet and shower, met requirements, but we are looking at adding an additional toilet and shower, we just keep trying to improve things for our guests. Look forward to welcoming you and your wife back next time
