  • Award-winning park on banks of the River Severn
  • Wildlife haven: nature pools, bird and bat boxes and over 2000 trees
  • Fishing and boat slipway available from site
This sumptuous River Severn site has landed many awards in its illustrious history – including for wildlife cultivation, conservation and loos you could probably eat your dinner off (note: don't try this at home). It's all most pretty too, set in an easily level 65 acres around a seventeenth-century manor, a short riverside stroll from Worcestershire's canal town of Stourport-on-Severn. The terrain at Lickhill Manor Caravan Park has an abundance of wildlife around several carefully developed habitats, with bird and bat boxes, wildlife pools with waterfowl afloat and over 2000 specially planted trees and shrubs, including many among its pitches to give guests privacy and space. Or might you fancy some fishing? Lickhill Manor has its own three-quarters of a mile stretch of the River Severn with half a mile set aside from which to cast off its specially constructed platforms for perch, roach, barbel, chub and tench; bring your own licence and pick up a site fishing permit at reception. Or might you fancy some boating? A slipway to launch small craft is on this part of the river too. Water points, drainage facilities and wifi are all available, as well as washing-up facilities and an ice-pack freezer. The award-winning (always a good sign) ablution facilities are heated throughout, with free hot water, free use of hairdryers, private cubicles and a disabled washroom including a wheelchair shower with seat, emergency alarm pulls and lever-operated taps.

What customers say

Lickhill Manor Caravan Park is praised for its clean, well-maintained facilities, friendly and helpful staff, and spacious pitches, many located by the river. Guests enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, wildlife, and convenient walk into Stourport. While most found the amenities excellent, some noted them as dated or insufficient during peak times, and WiFi can be inconsistent. The site is highly recommended for families and dog owners.

Electric grass pitch (riverside)

Liked Lovely site with really friendly and helpful staff! I’d forgotten my tent pegs, but the staff kindly had a few spare and were more than happy to help.

Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to the storm, but after explaining the situation to the staff, they were brilliant and really helpful in assisting us with the tent.

We’ll definitely be going back and hopefully get to enjoy the full stay next time! The site was really clean, with spotless toilets and shower facilities. Stourport is also only around a 20-minute walk away, which is really convenient.

Highly recommended we can’t wait to return!

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Beautiful surroundings and very well appointed park.

The facilities were very good - excellent showers, helpful staff etc.

Disliked There seemed to be an issue with noise outside the "quiet hours".
Unfortunately there were loads of children running around in the dark screaming right up until 11pm, and
no adults

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Everything was close nit, the park, facilities and river. The facilities were clean and well kept. Dog park was enclosed and perfect for a walk. The pitch we were on (non EHU) was huge! Fit 2 cars, our 8 birth tent and enough room for our 2 dogs to be on a 6m lead!

Disliked There wasn't a park suitable for my toddler so it was a case of entertaining him in other way. The river wasn't secured and my toddler loves ducks and swans.
Some campers turned up loud at 11.10pm blasting music in their van for about 25 minutes and singing like they were at a fair. This then proceeded onto an argument between the family nearly escalated into a fight. The warden had come to settle them. They continued for another 10 minutes before settling around after midnight. My kids all got woken up, so this wasn't nice. Quite scary actually.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
It is great to hear you enjoyed the River Severn, not only for fishing and also a beautiful walk into Stourport.
We would love to see you back here again soon.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The natural feel to the site . It’s full of trees which gives you privacy and great scenery. Heard lots of birds even an owl at night. Huge dog field with fence round its not secure but big enough to let our puppy off in the middle of the. Very clean toilets and wash area, met the 5am cleaning lady really lovely and dedicated. Great riverside walks to pubs . We ate in the old beams which was on the edge of stourport closer for our puppy to walk. Lovely food and outside dog friendly area.

Disliked Our plot looked clean at first but found dog mess and discarded dog food , loads of water ballon bits which I needed to pick them all up before we could let the dogs near.
Obviously not the sites fault as you couldn’t see it but the previous occupants.

Local attractions

Lickhill Manor Caravan Park is a short walk along the river from the canal town of Stourport-on-Severn. If you're not one of those lucky lucky sorts to have brought your own boat, meander here lickety split for canal trips, steamer cruises, amusements, heritage wanders and more at Stourport Riverside and Stourport Canal Basins: the Severn is the UK's longest river so you're bound to find something to get your whistle whetted. Elsewhere, this Worcestershire wildlife haven is a most convenient locale for other adventures, like a whopping total of 11 nearby fishing pools and the West Midlands Safari Park (or – a splendid idea – combining fishing with critters at the Shatterford Lakes Wildlife Sanctuary & Fishery). Two most interesting museums are in the vicinity: the award-winning Black Country Living Museum at Dudley, 26 acres with 80,000 items in its collection (and tram rides), and the Bewdley Museum, with resident craftspeople and loads of local artefacts. The 16-mile trip of the Severn Valley Railway is also a topping option as a heritage highlight, as are Hartlebury Castle and Worcester Cathedral within easy driving distance. If the kids like the West Midlands Safari Park, take them to feed the deer at Rays Farm just over the border at Brignorth in Shropshire; here there be llamas, alpacas, donkeys, micro pigs, rabbits and 25 owls too. And all ages will like a wander in nearby Wyre Forest, where there's also a Go Ape! for those feeling energetic.
