Enjoy our beautiful views of the River Severn

General

  • Award-winning park on the River Severn
  • Wildlife haven: nature pools, bird and bat boxes and over 2000 trees
  • Fishing and boat slipway available from site

This sumptuous River Severn site has landed many awards in its illustrious history – including for wildlife cultivation, conservation and loos you could probably eat your dinner off (note: don't try this at home). It's all most pretty too, set in an easily level 65 acres around a seventeenth century manor, a short riverside stroll from Worcestershire's canal town of Stourport-on-Severn.

The easily level terrain at Lickhill Manor Caravan Park has an abundance of wildlife around several carefully developed habitats, bird and bat boxes, wildlife pools with waterfowl afloat and over 2000 specially planted trees and shrubs, including many among its pitches to give guests privacy and space.

Or might you fancy some fishing? Lickhill Manor has its own three-quarter of a mile stretch of the River Severn with half a mile set aside from which to cast off its specially constructed platforms for perch, roach, barbel, chubb and tench; bring your own licence and pick up a site fishing permit at reception. Or might you fancy some boating? A slipway to launch small craft is on this part of the river too.

Water points, drainage facilities and wifi are all available, as well as washing-up facilities and an ice-pack freezer. The award-winning ablutions (always highly palatable to Pitchuppers, we know) are heated throughout, with free hot water, free use of hairdryers, private cubicles and a disabled washroom including a wheelchair shower with seat, emergency alarm pulls and lever-operated taps.

Very wet weekend, but the fully serviced touring pitch was great. Level hard standing pitch in a very quiet location opposite the shower block. Toilets and shower block are spotless and heated too. Staff really friendly, they showed us to our pitch and explained everything to us as it was our first time there. Just a short walk to stourport town 25 min along the river or the road. Look forward to going back soon.

We are always keen to hear from our customers of how they enjoyed their stay, with the added photos too. It is great to read you found Team Lickhill staff friendly, informative and the park grounds beautiful, with the use of the heated washrooms on these chilly days. We are very lucky to have such picturesque countryside surrounding the park making it feel like a little haven once inside the grounds. A pleasant walk in to the town is always a must to do.
We will look forward to your return visit.
Kind regards,
Team Lickhill.

Thank you for taking the time to write Lickhill Manor a review.
We are pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay on your fully served gravel pitch. Unfortunately, with the horrendous amounts of rain we experienced a flood on the park leaving the washroom and toilets having to have their power temporarily closed down. We hope this natural event didn't cause too much inconvenience. Winter camping is always a gamble in England but we are glad you braved it and enjoyed your stay! So much so that we would like to also thank you for rewarding Lickhill with a rating of 10/10.
We look forward to your return visit.
Kind regards,
Team Lickhill.

Staff were helpful and courteous under difficult circumstances. Disadvantage on being on a flood plain is the site could flood in certain conditions. Unfortunately those conditions were met on our visit and virtually the entire site was under water. The staff managed to alert everyone and if necessary tow them to higher ground. Can’t comment on the toilets as we were unable to get to them. Site is in a good location for the river, and a 15 minute walk into the town down the river bank (when it’s not flooded). Can’t fault the staff, they did what they could. And said that they hadn’t known it to be quite as bad as it was for many years. Would return to the site when the river was lower.

Unfortunately, with the horrendous amounts of rain we experienced a flood on the park leaving the washroom and toilets having to have their power temporarily closed down. But we still had the additional washrooms available. Staff and customers are always in contact with the flood levels, and follow our flood plan seriously. All our customers still had a good time, and made the best of the situation. We hope this natural event didn't cause too much inconvenience. Local attractions

Lickhill Manor Caravan Park is a short walk along the river to the canal town of Stourport-on-Severn; if you're not one of those lucky lucky sorts to have brought your own boat, meander here lickety split for canal trips, steamer cruises, amusements, heritage wanders and more at Stourport Riverside and Stourport Canal Basins: the Severn is the UK's longest river so we reckon you'll find something to get your whistle whetted.

Elsewhere, this Worcestershire wildlife haven is a most convenient locale for other adventures, like a whopping total of 11 nearby fishing pools and the West Midlands Safari Park (or, a spiffing idea, combining fishing with critters at the Shatterford Lakes Wildlife Sanctuary & Fishery).

Two most interesting museums are in the vicinity: the award-winning Black Country Living Museum at Dudley, 26 acres with 80,000 items in its collection (and tram rides), and the Bewdley Museum, coming with resident craftspeople and loads of local artefacts.

The 16-mile trip of the Severn Valley Railway is also a topping option as a heritage highlight, as are Hartlebury Castle and Worcester Cathedral within easy driving distance.

If the kids like the West Midlands Safari Park, take them to feed the deer at Rays Farm just over the border at Brignorth in Shropshire; here there be llamas, alpacas, donkeys, micro pigs, rabbits and 25 owls too. And all ages will like a wander in nearby Wyre Forest, where there's also a Go Ape! for those feeling energetic.
