  • Family-run site in the Malvern Hills, a 10-minute drive from Ledbury
  • Eastnor Castle 10 minutes’ drive; Worcester half an hour
  • On-site fishing lakes; dogs on lead welcome; nearby hiking trails
Literally on the edge of the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (cross the B4208, and you’re within the AONB), family-run Kings Green Caravan Park is part of a working farm a 10-minute drive from Ledbury. This is a spectacular patch of Worcestershire countryside, with gentle hills, fields dotted with sheep and arable land all around. All of which is an oblique way of saying that it’s pretty quiet around these parts and that your sleep should be undisturbed by traffic noise or noisy neighbours. With the Malvern Hills well within your sights, chances are you can’t wait to lace up your boots, and with several trails starting directly from the site, you’re in for many long days of exploration. Your dog (who’s welcome at the site, as long as you keep it on a lead) should also be happy with the exercise on these hikes, which might take you to places like Golden Valley nature reserve (about an hour on foot, or five minutes by car) – or to cosy country pubs like the one in Berrow (35 minutes’ walk or a five-minute drive). Hiking not your jam? Maybe you prefer a more sedentary pursuit? The site has two fishing lakes, where (for a small daily fee) you can try catching carp, roach and other species. There's a well-maintained toilet and shower block (plus facilities for disabled guests), a washing-up area and a launderette with tumble dryer and iron. Shower tokens are required to use the shower, and there's also a cash deposit required for the toilet and shower block keys. If you need to use the laundry or the washing-up area, you will also need to pay in cash.

What customers say

This is a very clean, well-maintained and peaceful campsite, praised for its immaculate toilet and shower facilities, many of which are modern. Pitches are generally level and spacious. Fishing on the on-site lakes is popular. While some found it not very family-friendly due to restrictions on children's activities, most visitors enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff, with many planning to return.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked We really liked the site being so tidy, quiet and peaceful. The toilet facilities were immaculate. Being a group with tents and a camper van, we benefited from a large grass area with just our 3 pitches on there. Very reasonable price for the pitch.

Disliked Paying for the toilets key was not so good. There was nowhere on site to buy any food or supplies like milk. I was very surprised at the lack of dishwashing sinks (if there were any I didn't see them).

From the manager: Thankyou for your stay and we tried to accommodate to the best of our ability for your group. However it does state we do not have a shop onsite with in the description and also on our website. There are local ones around. Also we do have washing up facility’s. These are located at the back of the toilet block where there is hot and cold water with sinks for this. Hope to see you again !

Electric grass pitch

Liked To be truthful after reading reviews when we en route I was a bit nervous about this campsite! But realised very quickly some people are just naturally negative! What a find! So friendly so clean and beautifully kept! Proper family run business, seeng the kids run about with parents and grandparents is heartwarming, lovely kids not in your face but polite and friendly a credit to their parents. It’s IS dog friendly, you don’t need a dog exercise field to be dog friendly when 50 yards left or right from the entrance are fields with public footpaths in for them to run! Large pitches where you can meet the neighbours without falling over them! The pub was easy enough to get to down the road and follow the footpath opposite Berrow house! Would definitely stay here again, my ‘never been anything but a hotel’ mother in law was impressed enough to think about renting her own camper next year to come!

Electric grass pitch

Liked The park was well presented and the views from the field we were in looked spectacular. The facilities were clean if not a little limited. They have two fishing lakes which makes it great for enthusiasts to relax and enjoy the scenery!

Disliked The toilets were clean but limited, the showers were old school token and no control on temp, which can be difficult for comfy showering with little ones in the group.
The biggest thing was the smell of the sceptic tank did tend to eak across the site in the wrong moments, something a bit of work could fix.
Lastly they had quite a bad wasp problem on the field however that's more than likely just the time of year and unfortunately can't all be down to the site team.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely quiet site in beautiful surroundings. Reasonable price charged for a pitch with EHU.

Disliked Having to use a key to go to the toilet or shower. (The lock needs some attention as it didn’t work most of the time).

Local attractions

The magnificent rooms of 19th-century Eastnor Castle (10 minutes’ drive) are hung with enormous chandeliers and adorned with portraits, rich tapestries and decorative objects. Herds of red deer inhabit the surrounding grounds, which also host medieval re-enactments, firework displays and other events. Stretching along the banks of the Severn, Worcester (half an hour) has a splendid 11th-century cathedral with a Gothic nave and colourful stained-glass windows. You can learn all about the city’s production of porcelain in the Museum of Royal Worcester, while the Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum has displays on the renowned local sauce. The cathedral in Gloucester (half an hour) is famed for its connection to Harry Potter (several film scenes were shot in the elegant cloister). The city, which is England’s most inland port, is also worth a visit for its Victorian docks, where former warehouses now shelter independent shops, lively cafes and institutions like the National Waterways Museum.
