  • Family-run site in the Malvern Hills, a 10-minute drive from Ledbury
  • Eastnor Castle 10 minutes’ drive; Worcester half an hour
  • Dogs welcome on a lead; hiking trails nearby
Literally on the edge of the Malvern Hills National Landscape (cross the B4208, and you’re within the boundaries of the protected area), family-run Kings Green Caravan Park is part of a working farm a 10-minute drive from Ledbury. This is a spectacular patch of Worcestershire countryside, with gentle hills, fields dotted with sheep and arable land all around. All of which is an oblique way of saying that it’s pretty quiet around these parts and that your sleep should be undisturbed by traffic noise or noisy neighbours. With the Malvern Hills well within your sights, chances are you can’t wait to lace up your boots, and with several trails starting directly from the site, you’re in for many long days of exploration. Your dog (who’s welcome at the site, as long as you keep it on a lead) should also be happy with the exercise on these hikes, which might take you to places like Golden Valley nature reserve (about an hour on foot, or five minutes by car) – or to cosy country pubs like the one in Berrow (35 minutes’ walk or a five-minute drive). On site, there's a well-maintained toilet and shower block, a washing-up area and a launderette with a tumble dryer and iron. Shower tokens are required to use the shower, and there's also a cash deposit required for the toilet and shower block keys. If you need to use the laundry or the washing-up area, you will also need to pay in cash.

What customers say

This is a very clean and well-maintained campsite, with friendly and helpful staff. Guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, fishing ponds, and convenient location for Malvern Hills walks. While facilities are generally praised for cleanliness, some find the token system for showers and the key system for toilets inconvenient. Dog owners note a lack of on-site walking areas, often requiring travel on nearby busy roads. The site is generally considered more suited to couples and mature visitors than families with young children due to limited on-site activities.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Great location. The most surprising fact was that the check out is until 4pm so we had time to pack and plan for the trip back home. The host was very friendly and helpful. The utilities very nice and cleaned and maintained. The price was lower than expected.

Disliked We have paid for electric pitch but we need a long extension and we have had to ask for one. They were kind enough to borrow one at no extra charge. The showers are operated with tokens that we had to pay in cash, again we weren’t given a heads up. But other than that e great experience, friendly people, ready to help.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Beautiful site with very generous sized pitch. Our first time camping in 20 years and I think it’s going to be hard to beat this stay.

Toilets and showers very well maintained, showers were a lovely temperature and felt like they lasted much longer than 6 minutes.

Grounds are beautifully kept and fishing pools lovely to sit by in the sunshine. The site was lovely and quiet too, everyone very friendly.

Site owners were very accommodating, my husband has a CPAP machine and so we requested our tent be close to the electric hook up. This was no trouble and we were given one close as requested.

I noticed some reviews with Wi-Fi/signal issues but we had full internet signal on EE the whole time we were here.

We can’t wait to visit again, hopefully before the end of the camping season this year!

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely Quiet site and maintained to a high standard. The pools are a lovely place to sit and relax.

Disliked Nothing to dislike if I had to be picky the elsan disposal could be in a more discreet place rather than so near to the grass pitches. We were in T3 but if you were put on T1 or T2 you would be on top of the elsan point.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Had a 2 night stay on non-electric pitch. The campsite was really clean and tidy. The lady who owns/runs it was really helpful. Our alternator failed on the campervan before we were due to arrive, she kindly let us bring our tent instead. Good location, we were 15ish minutes from British camp and 15ish minutes from Ledbury. It was lovely to be able to see the farming animals in the paddock, on the property next door. I didn't use the walking paths but my husband ran from the campsite to Malvern and back and said that it was a good route

Local attractions

The magnificent rooms of 19th-century Eastnor Castle (10 minutes’ drive) are hung with enormous chandeliers and adorned with portraits, rich tapestries and decorative objects. Herds of red deer inhabit the surrounding grounds, which also host medieval re-enactments, firework displays and other events. Stretching along the banks of the Severn, Worcester (half an hour) has a splendid 11th-century cathedral with a Gothic nave and colourful stained-glass windows. You can learn all about the city’s production of porcelain in the Museum of Royal Worcester, while the Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum has displays on the renowned local sauce. The cathedral in Gloucester (half an hour) is famed for its connection to Harry Potter (several film scenes were shot in the elegant cloister). The city, which is England’s most inland port, is also worth a visit for its Victorian docks, where former warehouses now shelter independent shops, lively cafes and institutions like the National Waterways Museum.
