  • Pop-up site at Evesham Country Park, home to walks and a steam railway
  • Cotswolds 10 minutes’ drive; Stratford-upon-Avon 25 minutes
  • Welcomes dogs and families; access to 25+ shops and several cafés
How do you like the sound of staying in a quiet stretch of green fields edged by lush hedgerows and green trees? This place is tucked just behind the busy garden centre and shops at Evesham Country Park – in fact, you’d hardly know it’s there. And that means the family-friendly pitches at The Valley feel like a secret extension of the shopping and leisure area. It’s not that often that you get that feeling of being in the countryside while still being right next to the shops. The site is within a 150-metre walk of the entrance to over 25 shops and several cafés, so it's not hard at all to source your morning coffee or a holiday hat. Guests can stroll right into the 125-acre country park for picnics and pretty strolls too, including routes to the river Avon. Take the kids to the free (seasonal) splash pad or adventure play castle. The site is dog-friendly, and canines can practise their tricks at the dog agility course on site. For an additional fee, get stuck into the Lost Valley’s high ropes course and zipwires, a round of 18-hole miniature golf or the steam railway stopping at play and picnic areas through the country park (it even has a dog-friendly carriage). As a pop-up, The Valley has simple, temporary facilities including a portable toilet and shower block. The centre of Evesham, with its train station and twice-weekly markets, is a five-minute drive away, and the outskirts of the Cotswolds are a 10-minute drive away. Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon, is a 25-minute drive from the site.

What customers say

This is a new pop-up campsite with friendly and helpful staff, offering a good welcome with a complimentary gift pack. Visitors praised the spacious pitches and the variety of on-site activities for children, including a splash pad and mini-golf. The location provides access to countryside walks and nearby amenities. Some guests noted that the ground could be uneven in places and that the portable toilets were not always clean, though the manager has stated improvements are being made to toilet checking frequency. Noise from a nearby bypass was occasionally mentioned, and some experienced issues with local dog walkers not adhering to lead rules. The campsite is described as basic but good value, especially for short stays.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Flat pitches, clean showers and toilets (mobile) near to the retail park that has specialist craft bar and many food outlets and clothes stores along with a garden centre.
We went on the river Avon walk to eversham which is about an hour away.
To do this walk up the car park, past the railway station to the top gravel car park, there you will see a gravel path leading down to the river, at the end there are a few steps.
Turn right to eversham and left for a river walk.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Really nice located campsite next to the shops and splash area. Ideal for walks and steam train for little ones. Good facilities.

Disliked The castle play park could have done with a few more activities like a swing set and rocker for our little ones. Would be great if you could expand it out a bit more.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Everything!

We booked this site as a first time camping trip with our young children.

We had a few requests ahead of our stay and staff at the site were so accommodating. The pitch was good, toilet and shower facilities good and well maintained throughout our stay and the wardens were really friendly and helpful throughout - thank you for the welcome drink!

Ideal little pop up site close to Evesham; we walked along the river into town and it was a nice walk with the kiddos. Also, plenty for the children to do and they loved the splash pad at The Valley. Looking forward to coming back next year for a longer stay!

Disliked Nothing (apart from ants, but you know, nature! To be expected!)

From the manager: We’re thrilled your family’s first camping trip was such a positive experience, Dawn. It’s great to hear our team were able to help with your requests before arrival, and that the pitch, toilets, and showers all met your expectations throughout your stay.

We’re really glad you enjoyed the riverside walk into Evesham and that the children had plenty to explore.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked We’ve just got back from a couple of nights camping here and had a lovely time. The site was nice and quiet which made it great for a relaxing little break. There are also some lovely walking paths all around the site, which was great for getting out and exploring. The toilets and showers were cleaned very regularly so were always lovely.
We enjoyed our stay and would come back again. 😊

Liked Near to to the river Avon, which is a lovely walk into Evesham. My girls enjoyed exploring the fruit orchards behind the camp and visiting the splash pad. The site was well maintained and was cleaned frequently

Disliked Lack of access to hot water for washing up

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, we’re really glad you and your girls enjoyed your stay. It’s great to hear you made the most of the riverside walk into Evesham, the orchards, and the splash pad, and we’re pleased the site felt clean and well looked after throughout your visit.

We appreciate you highlighting the lack of hot water for washing up. As a temporary campsite, our facilities are more limited than a fully established site, but feedback helps us prioritise improvements and plan future upgrades.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Loved that there was so much to do without leaving site. The mini steam train ride around the site was brilliant and so much fun! The site staff were so friendly and accommodating for our every question and even interacted with our autistic children.

The onsite facilities were okay too, nothing fancy but exactly what you need; toilets, showers, sinks, accessible toilet, washing up area and drinking water tap.

The site has a playground shaped as a wooden castle with slides, bridges and slide poles which our girls loved! There is also high ropes similar to “Go-Ape” and a mini golf onsite which can be seen from the tent pitches.

Close to the lake and nice walk through the orchard to the river Avon was absolutely beautiful.

Less than a 6 minute drive to the town of Evesham which has a high street full of shops, cafes, bar and restaurants and charity shops. There is also a Tesco, B&m and Argos just past the train station too which was perfectly located.

Directions:
From The Valley, 2nd exit at the round about, 1st exit at the next roundabout.
- continue straight ahead for town centre
- turn right for Tesco, B&M and Argos

Disliked There wasn’t really much to dislike here, except maybe the gate and fence that leads across the train tracks from the tent pitches could do with having an additional piece of wood to stop children crawling underneath

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for sharing your experience, we’re thrilled you and your family enjoyed the wide range of activities onsite. It’s wonderful to hear our team made you feel welcome and that the facilities met your needs.

We appreciate your note about the gate and fence near the train tracks. Safety is very important to us, and feedback like this helps us identify where small improvements can make a big difference for families.
