Bell tent
Liked: As a family of four we had a lovely two night stay in the Bell Tent which was very spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The site itself is easily accessible, is peaceful, has stunning views and is really well looked after, especially the amenity building with toilets and showers, was very clean and well organised. The children were able to play in a field area in front of the tent and enjoy themselves in a safe environment. Overall, we had a great time.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Lovely quiet site, toilet and shower block was very clean and the site had good washing up facilities. Great location for visiting / exploring the local area. I would defiantly stay again. Even though we had heavy rain, the grass pitch drained well.
Disliked: The grass pitches are a bit of a distance from the toilet / shower block if you need to use them during the night. I would recommend taking a travel toilet if you are staying on the grass tent pitches.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Everything! A beautiful site, well laid out, pristine pitches, and quite possibly the best facilities I’ve ever used. My friend required the disabled facilities and for the first time ever found her needs fully catered for. The tracks were suitable for a mobility scooter and the disabled toilet and shower had the correct rails and perches. The personalised welcome and debrief from Jacqui on arrival was a nice touch. All information provided and an info sheet listing the answers to all other possible questions too. The toilets and showers were warm, modern and very clean at all times of day. It was nice to have a pitch that didn’t have any holes or ditches throughout it like many other sites I’ve been to recently. The natural pitch borders were perfect and complimented the site nicely. Will deffo return again and possibly try out some of the glamping pods for a different experience.
Disliked: I only have a tiny tiny grumble but it’s not major and was easily solved. I found the temperature at the washing up station a little tepid for greasy pans. But I solved this easily by taking a kettle of boiling water up with me. It was a fine temperature for all other dishes etc. The site provided washing up liquid and sponges which balances out my picky grumble.

Liked: This campsite is a beautiful mix between wild camping and having spotless and modern facilities. The views are amazing and the on site shop has everything you could ever need. The additional honesty table is a great touch. Facilities were utterly spotless even in the rain, and having open access to the freezer was a refreshing touch. The owners were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
Disliked: Absolutely not the fault of the owners or the campsite, but the local yobs on the distant dual carriageway can be loud on clear evenings revving their little 1ltrs. If your a light sleeper would advise earplugs but to stress this doesnt take anything away from the campsite for the majority of people.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: A quiet and pleasant site with modern clean facilities and nice views throughout, well laid out with clear signage and the owners are very welcoming
Disliked: Not a huge thing but the free wi-fi does not cover the bottom half of the site, you need to be at the top or near the facilities block / office to use

From the manager: Thank you so much for your review! Great to hear you enjoyed the views and signage. Wifi is patchy down the bottom, but 4g works great - getting the balance between 'wrapped in nature' and providing 'tech' is tricky, but we feel it works for us.

Liked: Second visit to this site and it is still a magical place. Stunning views, well thought out site. Everywhere you look there are different plants that catch your eyes. A really peaceful site, even with it being quite full - but the fellow campers are so friendly and chatty due to the ambience. Amenities are second to none, and the owners really care everything is just right for you. Lovely little dog walk where dogs can have some off lead time.
