What customers say
This campsite is praised for its beautiful views, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly, helpful owners. Facilities, particularly showers and toilets, are consistently described as very clean and well-maintained. The presence of alpacas and other animals is a significant highlight for many visitors. The on-site cafe receives positive mentions for its food and reasonable prices. Some guests note the distance to the facilities and the bumpy access road as minor drawbacks, but overall, the site is highly recommended for its value and tranquil rural setting.

Loved it and would definitely return :)
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The site is beautiful and well kept. The cafe at the reception was very well stocked and had a number of items. The toilets are very well looked after and clean. There is a drinking water tap on the campsite. They also have horses, geese and ducks, as well as three very large lakes. The alpacas were a highlight for me and you can also feed them using food purchased from the cafe for just £1. The staff are also very friendly :)
Disliked Only thing was the toilets being a little far from the campsite, in the daytime it's fine but at night it can be quite difficult, the hill getting back up might also cause problems for those with a physical disability.

Good value, level pitches.
Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Quiet site, very relaxed, pitch anywhere. Lovely views over surrounding area.
Toilet/shower block was immaculate - seemed to be someone cleaning constantly. Very friendly staff. Nice dog walk around the fishing lakes. Free WiFi around reception building, not on campsite.
Disliked It’s a bumpy drive in with little passing space, fine if you go slowly.
Steep track down to reception and showers/toilets. Good workout walking back up! Ok if you’ve got on board facilities.

Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Easy check in. Great views. Clean facilities and a very good price. There is a bit of a walk to the facilities but I don’t feel this is a deal breaker. Beautiful Alpacas on site as well and a nice looking little cafe.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked All was good overall, and I will definitely be staying again. The views are excellent from the campsite. The shower and toilets were very clean and very acceptable.
Disliked I arrived around 7.30pm and struggled with space for my tent (One man). It appeared that other guests had taken liberties with their allowed space. Perhaps this needs an eye keeping on it.
