The brazier and wood burning hot tub shared amongst yurt guests

General

  • Toasty and fully-equipped glamping in the Staffordshire countryside
  • Smallholding with llamas, horses, ponies and more
  • Luxury shower block with electric points and fridge/freezer

Rural hols with a touch of luxury are what's around at Glamping West Midlands – and all without pitching a tent or loading up the car with piles of kit… No bumpy ground or sleeping on slopes here, just swish, toasty and fully-equipped accommodation with beds, crisp linen, firepits and outdoor furniture from which to watch the stars.

Set near Enville in the Staffordshire countryside, Glamping West Midlands is a smallholding that's home to llamas, horses, ponies, sheep, chickens and other friendly critters. Walks over meadow, heathland and farmland as well as past pools and lakes are all around; this is a walkers' paradise, so bring your comfy boots. And your irons: a golf club is right next door.

The glamping units come equipped with bedding, towels and a camping stove so you can keep the car boot space free for souvenirs (or beer and/or champers: a fridge and freezer is on site for guests' use). They don't have electricity, but all are atmospherically lit by the use of fairy lights and lanterns, and electric points are available along with the fridge and freezer in the site's luxury shower block.

Please note

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Have to be honest, not much!! Owner spoilt what should of been a nice relaxing weekend!!

    Shocked and appalled!!

Well where to begin??? First of all I am shocked at the amount of good reviews this place has. As far as "Glamping" goes, the only thing glamorous about this place is not having to put your own tent up!!!

The lady owner, upon arrival, was friendly but patronising. (We arrived late in the evening in the cold, dark and torrential rain) I asked how to turn the electric fire on to give us some light and some heat whilst lugging all of our belongings through the swamped field. Oh no, Mrs Patronising stated "oh you are kidding me, you dont know how to start a fire". So first impressions are "rude and patronising".

So we cram all of our belongings into the yurt and get ourselves sorted. Luckily she had the decency to show us where the toilets were before leaving us to it. Until the next day that was.

A friend came up to visit us and drop off her children some clean clothes and stay for lunch. At which point a very rude version of "Mrs Patronising" came to visit us. She did not knock or speak from outside, she barged into the yurt with a very threatening demeanor. She stated that we had been in and used her other accommodation units and that we were "rif raf" and she expected us to clean up our mess and leave (bearing in mind that the only mess we had made is the mess in our Yurt from cooking a d living). She argued when the adults stated to her that we had not been to the other accommodation units and did not know what she was on about and was quite frankly, a rude old woman with an attitude problem towards the younger generation.

Upon her leaving the yurt, the children informed us that they had been into one of the huts in the field with the animals as it was open and looked like a playhouse. Not only this, the owner had taken it upon herself to shout at the children for this (BEFORE coming to acuse the adults of using them).

Next, my friend tried to leave. This lady blocked in all of the cars and proceeded to verbally abuse a woman who had 3 young children in tow. She swore and tried to make out that my friend had stayed the evening and that her car had been there all night. (It hadnt, she arrived at 9am in the morning and the owner had welcomed her in!!!!!) The only reason the delightful owner moved her car was when my friend threatened to call the police and to have the lady charged with entrapment. All in all, she ruined what should of been a nice relaxing break away!!!! Absolutely disgusted at her customer service.

After these events, she refused to put on the hot tub and did not take the children to feed the animals like promised.

From the manager...

I have to say I have never, in all of my time glamping, had such awful people to stay. From start to finish they were disgusting. They were 1 1/2 hours late arriving and were supposed to be 6 people. This turned out to be 10. I found the following morning that they had taken it upon themselves to use 2 of my Shepherd's huts to accommodate their extra bodies leaving them in a filthy state. The blinds were down and they had tried to make up the beds so their lie that their children had played in there was quite obvious.
I took their children to feed my animals and take the dogs a walk, as I always do, but they wouldn't know that as they were not aware of anything the children were doing - including tormenting my poor animals.
When they finally left the yurt was in a filthy state. They had used all of the crockery etc and left it all covered in grease and mud. It took me hours to clean all of the mess.

The great reviews I have received speak for my business and my attitude towards my guests not the review from these people who are clearly embarrassed at being caught out in their sneakiness and lies.
