Peaceful, quiet site

  • Toasty and fully-equipped glamping in the Staffordshire countryside
  • Smallholding with llamas, horses, ponies and more
  • Luxury shower block with electric points and fridge/freezer
Rural hols with a touch of luxury are what's around at Glamping West Midlands – and all without pitching a tent or loading up the car with piles of kit… No bumpy ground or sleeping on slopes here, just swish, toasty and fully-equipped accommodation with beds, crisp linen, firepits and outdoor furniture from which to watch the stars. Set near Enville in the Staffordshire countryside, Glamping West Midlands is a smallholding that's home to llamas, horses, ponies, sheep, chickens and other friendly critters. Walks over meadow, heathland and farmland as well as past pools and lakes are all around; this is a walkers' paradise, so bring your comfy boots. And your irons: a golf club is right next door. The glamping units come equipped with bedding, towels and a camping stove so you can keep the car boot space free for souvenirs (or beer and/or champers: a fridge and freezer is on site for guests' use). They don't have electricity, but all are atmospherically lit by the use of fairy lights and lanterns, and electric points are available along with the fridge and freezer in the site's luxury shower block.

Liked: We visited for a two night stay in April with my sister and her children so there were 10 of us in total.

We absolutely loved staying here.
The children loved stroking the donkeys and llamas and seeing the sheep, horses, pigs, chickens, emu like bird (I can't remember the actual type). The owner allowed us to feed a couple of the animals with a carrot or two which the children again loved.

The field is well kept and the wood fired hot tub provides fun and laughter with getting someone to stoke you up and stir your water as well as a lovely relaxing moment with a glass of wine.

The toilets were well looked after with loo roll and soap etc.
It's great getting away without wifi, but did appreciate the fridge and freezer in the shower block to keep our food in and charge our mobiles.

Everything is provided so you only need to take food, clothes and gas for the camping stove or charcoal/logs for the BBQ.

The firepit is a lovely feature allowing you to have a campfire and all sit round with a hot chocolate.

Great feel to the place and will definitely return.

This is not a 5 star luxury hotel, it's a mongolian yurt in a field with no electricity, with everything you need for a fantastic break. If you are expecting everything to be shiny and new and perfect then this is not for you. If you want to get back to nature in real comfort then this may be for you. The owners are lovely - but avoid boris the cockeral ;-)
