This campsite offers spacious pitches and beautiful lake views. Facilities are generally praised for being clean, warm, and modern, particularly the showers. Staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful. While the site is primarily for fishing, it's also enjoyed for its peaceful atmosphere and walks. Some visitors note noise from the nearby motorway and occasional issues with facility cleanliness, particularly in the toilets, which management states is being addressed. I’d stay here again as it is beautiful and has everything required.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked The setting was beautiful. Showers and toilets were nice and modern.
Disliked The shower and toilet block needs checking more frequently throughout the day in my opinion, because at times they weren’t the best due to thoughtless people leaving them in a state. There really shouldn’t be any excuse for this as the facilities are provided for everyone to clean up after themselves but I think a physical check up is required.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Beautiful lakes, lovely to walk around and very well kept. Nice cafe on site but not open much.
Disliked People were allowed to have 2 or more outfits on a pitch and there was barely 2 meters between me and my various neighbours. The showers were clean, but they smelt really bad. Lots of weeds everywhere and cigarette butt's on the pitch.

From the manager: Hi thanks for your review.
I'd just like to address a couple of points.
Firstly, the shower block is cleaned every single day - once by the cleaners and then they are checked every 2 hours by staff on site and cleaned if needed. They also check the toilet rolls.
We have recently upgraded all the showers (only last weekend) and there was no smell.
We are next to the M69, something you would have been aware of when booking and not something that we can help. The noise is barely there from the campsite though.
I personally mowed the grass and it was strimmed also so I know that the hardstanding wasn't full of thistle.
Nice site but poor quality facilities
Electric grass pitch
Liked Pitches were decent size, fishing lakes were good to walk around and staff were friendly and polite.
Disliked Toilet and shower block wasn’t very nice, nasty smell of stagnant water, showers were not clean and mould within plug and ceiling, first shower you can’t adjust the temperature as it’s broken and second shower just leaks constantly. The taps don’t stay on anywhere near long enough to wash your hands.
Regularly ran out of toilet roll with no staff to replenish in the evenings. Overall upkeep of toilet block was disappointing.

From the manager: Hi there,
Thanks for your review.
We have been working really hard to improve our shower facilities and have replaced the ladies showers. We also painted the ceilings and re-siliconed all the showers. We are replacing the showers in the men's' toilets this weekend as we are aware that it was leaking and one had broken. We do regular checks on the toilet/shower blocks throughout the day and when doing this, we check the toilet rolls to make sure that they are full before the end of the day. The sinks are designed to not stay on for long as we have had them flooded before by them being left on. We have had some lovely comments recently and if there has been a problem, we have tried our best to rectify it straight away.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Spacious pitches, good facilities and lovely views of the lakes! Didn’t eat at the cafe on-site but it looked lovely and staff were warm and welcoming. Lakes are fenced off by the electric pitches, but you do need to keep your eyes on the little ones - if so it’s perfectly safe for young ones (mine is just under 2, a very independent waddler)

Lovely site, staff were lovely pitch was great!
Electric grass pitch
Liked Spacious pitches, very chilled out and relaxed.
Disliked The showers could do with a good clean! A lot of mould sealant could do with being replaced and the mats - I wouldn’t even want to knows what’s underneath them.
