Bromson Hill Farm: Tent and outdoor seating (photo added by manager on 26/05/2023)

General

  • Single furnished bell tent on a Warwickshire working farm
  • A 10-minute drive to Warwick; 20 minutes to Stratford-upon-Avon
  • Barbecue/firepit provided; bell tent sleeps up to six guests

Welcome to your own little slice of the lovely Warwickshire countryside – there’s just the one bell tent at Bromson Hill Farm, so you’ll have lots of peaceful space all to yourselves.

The tent has been set up in a quiet little corner of a family farm, so you won’t have any neighbours other than the animals that live on the farm (although you may spot your host and family around from time to time, of course).

It’s a comfy and cosy setup inside the tent, which sleeps up to six (in a double bed and four singles, plus a travel cot upon request) but will be set up specially for your group depending on how many guests are staying (with extra beds removed if not needed to allow for more interior space).

Beds are made up ready for your arrival so there’s no need to pack bedding or spend time sorting the space. Also inside the tent are a kettle and solar-powered lights and power banks, but it’s worth noting there’s no mains electricity and no wifi. Toilets are close by, but there’s no shower or bath for guests.

With any luck you won’t miss that wifi at all, given that you’ll no doubt want to be spending most of your time out in the open air soaking up the fresh air and lovely rural views. Just outside the tent there’s an outdoor seating area and a firepit with grill where you can cook up alfresco meals (pick up supplies in Warwick or Royal Leamington Spa, both within 15 minutes’ drive).

Amazing setup, on a secluded farm away from the roads. The tent itself is beautifully set up, my children loved it. Generous amount of space outside to play and relax.
Only 2 tents on site which makes it even better. Host was approachable and kind. Everything was perfect. Didn’t see any power banks inside the tents-didn’t ask either as we didn’t need them. Only let down was the weather, we ended up going home around 11pm due to this. Would definitely recommend.

Firstly, we just want to say. What a lovely, extremely kind family you really are! You all went above & beyond to make us feel more than welcome into your home. You let us see your beautiful, stunning, land & not to mention feeding your amazing animals 😍 we had the best experience feeding your cows and lambs. You really couldn't have done anymore than you did for the 5 of us 😘 Making sure we had our essentials, giving the children sweets & drinks for our journey to Cornwall ❤️ George & Ellis absolutely loved it!! We will be back to visit. We're extremely grateful for what you did for us & the dome tent was absolutely beautiful too!! One of the best we've ever stayed in. Please keep going, your dreams will come true 😘❤️ Thank you so much xxxx

Local attractions

There’s a lot going on in this area, especially if you’re interested in history. Warwick Castle (10 minutes’ drive) is a good place to start – here you can tour the grand State Rooms, stroll through the grounds, have a go at archery and take the kids to the Zog-themed play areas (or lose them in the Horrible Histories Maze).

Also close by is Stratford-upon-Avon (25 minutes), home to all sorts of Shakespeare-related attractions including the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Shakespeare’s Schoolroom as well as Tudor World. For heritage of a different kind, steer instead to the British Motor Museum (10 minutes).

If you need something to entertain the kids, it’s handy to know that St Nicholas’ Park (10 minutes) is on hand with things like crazy golf and paddle boat hire – or you could head to Hatton Adventure World (20 minutes) for animal attractions (including a guinea pig village and sheep racing), laser combat and various play areas, plus pick-your-own crops in season.
