Hill View Campsite is located on a working farm near Southam, on the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire border. It’s a small site with just a few pitches, offering guests a wonderfully laid-back rural retreat – you’re welcome to pick your own pitch, and you can even bed down close to the grazing cattle.
Out and about around the site, there are countryside views and colourful sunsets to take in. Further afield, you can up the pamper factor with treatment at local spas, learn to sail on Draycote Water or jump behind the wheel for a lap of the F1 track at Silverstone Circuit (30 minutes).
There are plenty of local pubs serving good food and equally good beer, and if a takeaway is more up your street, you could try the local Chinese in Priors Marston village (10 minutes’ walk). If you need to stock up on supplies, there’s a choice of handy shops in Southam (10 minutes’ drive).
This back-to-basics campsite offers toilets and a well-maintained hot shower. There is outdoor cold water for washing up and drinking water too. Barbecues are allowed on site, but should be raised off the ground so you don’t burn the grass. You're allowed to bring two well-behaved dogs with you but as this is a working livestock farm, they must be kept on leads at all times (dog tethers can be hired on site).
To ensure that this remains a peaceful place for all to enjoy, the owners ask that no loud music is played on site. Please don’t make a noise or move your car between 10.30pm and 8am – if vehicles do need to be moved during these times, alternative parking can be arranged free of charge.
