  • Friendly and family-run Warwickshire adults-only park
  • Spacious and well-maintained pitches
  • Heated shower and loo block with private cubicles and free hot water
Some peeps are happy to have kids around on their long-awaited holiday. Some, however, are not. If that's you and you're off Warwickshire-wards, wend your way towards adults-only and relaxed Somers Wood Caravan Park. Family-run and very friendly, this is a peaceful place – that'll be because it's adults only, most likely – and has excellently kept amenities including a heated shower and loo block with private cubicles, lots of free hot water (no push buttons here), hairdryers in both the ladies' and the gents' and a shaving socket in the gents'. There's also a separate disabled facility away from the main block: ask for the key on check-in if required. And also very relaxedly? The local Chinese and Indian restaurants will deliver your dins right to the park: find menus in the Somers Wood information cabin.

What customers say

This peaceful, adult-only site receives high praise for its exceptionally clean and modern facilities. Guests enjoyed the well-maintained grounds and relaxing atmosphere. A pleasant walk is available near the park, and the golf clubhouse is a short stroll away. Some guests noted that WiFi incurs an additional cost and electricity is metered, raising concerns about value for money during winter stays. The site offers a practical system for monitoring and topping up electricity usage.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (maximum 8 metres)

Liked Everything, good location next to golf course which allows dogs, 25 minutes walk into the village where there's a couple of pubs, fish and chip shop a couple of Indians so plenty of places to eat out if you fancy it, there are also a couple of convenience stores.
The site itself is clean tidy and well maintained, toilets are cleaned twice daily and are modern.
Plenty of room on our pitch as we booked the XL 8mtr, ELH is pre loaded with £2 per night which is more than enough for us, if you do require to top up you csn do it via an app or use pound coins. Dog walk located just off site through a gate, there are dog waste bins by the gate entrance.
Staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay as were the other campers.
We had a nice quiet chilled weekend and will be returning at some point.
Highly recommend.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (maximum 7 metres)

Liked The site is quiet. Toilet blocks very clean and modern. You get £2 of electricity per day as part of the price, we only used 49p in 2 days! But loved that you can scan a code at your pitch to keep an eye on your balance and top up as well if required. Very good concept. The village of Meriden is just a 10 minute walk away with shops puds and a couple of indian restaurants.
Would definitely stay here again.

Liked I cannot fault this park! Perfect in every way. We usually use the caravan shower however the showers on this site were so clean, tidy and great quality, we decided to use the facilities provided to us. The little walk at the side of the park to walk the dog was ideal and the golf course club house a 5 minute walk around the corner was also a great addition. Site itself was so peaceful and relaxing. Overall, great site to stay!

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (maximum 7 metres)

Liked Lovely well maintained site, peaceful setting and clean facilities. Nice walk towards Meriden but you don’t come out at Meriden village, you come out the A45 slip road so better walk along the foot path

Disliked Wife is disabled and wasn’t made aware how to use the disabled facility block.
WiFi was at extra cost
Metered electricity even though it’s the summer months I’d be unsure if I was to return in the winter due to the extra cost and value for money compared to other sites

Local attractions

A golf centre is adjacent to Somers Wood Caravan Park for those who might fancy a go at their 27-hole championship course and driving range or a bite/drink in the clubhouse or restaurant, all available to non-members. Breakfast is available too. Coarse fishing is within easy walking distance of the park at the seven pools covering 20 acres of water of Packington Coarse Fishery, and a trout fishery is a short drive away. If engines get you going, motor along to the National Motorcycle Museum less than two miles from base, and to the National Exhibition Centre three miles away, with many a show going on throughout the year including the caravan and motorhome shows in February and October. Elsewhere, Somers Wood is in good locale for Central England walks, bike rides and famed Warwickshire attractions like Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon, home of course to the legendary bard as well as the Royal Shakespeare and Swan theatres. You could also send yourself to Coventry (Coventry Cathedral and Coventry Transport Museum recommended), go shopping at Birmingham's Bull Ring or visit the National Sea Life Centre, Symphony Hall, Cadbury's World or the National Indoor Arena.
