Electric grass pitch

Liked: The tasty food, the play area in the pub garden.

Disliked: Unfortunately we felt the toilet and shower facilities were in need of an update; things like broken toilet seats, worn mirrors, the shower being very unpredictable with the temperature which was quite a shock for our young children. The food was lovely, but we waited a very long time despite the pub/restaurant being empty.

Liked: This was mine and my daughter’s first camping trip , we chose this as it was close to Alton towers on arrival the lovely lady who checked us in was welcoming and kind . She also told us if we needed a hand to give her a shout as we were very nervous being our first time . We really enjoyed ourselves x

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Play area, friendliness of owners of the site, plenty of parking, everything. Excellent stay. Near to Alton Towers. Lovely owners. Although we didn't eat in the pub I did have an interaction with a lovely server on Sunday. He had impeccable manners and such a pleasant persona, I was impressed. The food looked gorgeous from what I could see. The only reason we didn't eat on site is because my daughter is vegan and we found another place up the road with lots on their vegan menu. It was a lovely stay. Thanks to John and his wife for making it an enjoyable stay
