What customers say
This family-run site offers a relaxed atmosphere with spacious pitches, lovely views, and a peaceful ambiance. Guests praised the friendly and accommodating owners, the on-site animals which were a hit with children, and convenient proximity to local attractions like Alton Towers and village pubs. Basic but clean toilets were noted. While most found the facilities adequate for short stays, some suggested showers would be a welcome addition for longer visits. Signage could be improved for easier navigation.

A well-maintained site with spacious pitch sizes and beautiful views
Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch
Liked This is a very well-maintained site. The pitch sizes are spacious, well-kept and overlook a beautiful view. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Although there is no shower, the toilet block is very clean and easily accessible to everyone.
There are some toys available for children to play with and plenty of space to run around. There are also some animals for the children to see.
Perfect for a short stay and excellent value for money.

Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch
Liked Lovely little site. The host was extremely welcoming. Not too many pitched but the area was big enough that people weren't crammed in. Would definitely return.
Logs available to purchase for firepit - (I didn't use ours on this occasion)
Disliked Was only here the 1 night - so nothing to dislike

Liked Waking up facing cows was pretty special. Honesty shelf was a nice touch, as was the goal. Clean site & toilets. Great pub (food) a 2 minute walk, if that.
Disliked Nothing.

I loved it and will be back next year.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The site was quiet, relaxed with lovely views. Although basic the facilities are clean and toilet cubicles roomy. I had a lovely 4 nights stay. I loved the cows in the next field. There isn't a shower which didn't bother me as I have family nearby.
Near to lots of places of interest.
Disliked I stayed with storm Flores and one night was very windy, a low hedge muggt give some protection, but not sure how practical this would be for the farmer.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The large pitch sizes were perfect. We didn't have an overly large tent but some sites even specified that was too big. Quiet, and hidden away but still easy access to local towns. Cheap rental of a fire pit, access to water and clean toilets. Hosts were nice and you didn't feel like you were constantly being monitored and watched. Nice laid back site and would use again if we were in that area
Disliked Didn't really dislike anything, yes there's no showers but we were made aware of this in the booking and were perfectly ok with this.

Gorgeous countryside campsite. Clean and well maintained.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked How quiet and peaceful it was. Well maintained. Loads of space for my toddler to run about and play with a ball. She enjoyed going to see the animals as well. Great distance away from Alton towers. Will definitely go back there again. Had a great few days.

We used it as a stop over for Alton Towers but the area has so much more to offer so we will definitely be coming back at some point!
Our little girl loved all the animals especially the rabbits!! We were lucky enough to see the baby chicks too!
