  • Well-equipped adults-only lodge five miles from Stafford
  • On the edge of Cannock Chase for walks and outdoor activities
  • Double bed, bathroom, kitchen, barbecue and bedding provided
Cosy up on the edge of the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a Staffordshire stay at Spring Paddock. The main site here is a popular and well-kept caravan park but you’ll be staying in the lovely lodge known as Ye’ Olde Tack Room, in a quiet corner of the site with its own spacious outdoor area. This comfy holiday let sleeps two and is all set up for adults only, with a double bed (plus bedding and towels provided), a shower room, a living room with flatscreen TV, and a kitchen that’s got a fridge, microwave and hob. Weather looking kind enough for alfresco drinks and meals? Just outside the lodge, your patio area has a barbecue and outdoor table for such times. (Stafford, five miles away, is the place to pick up the supplies for all of this – although do leave some space for the fresh free-range eggs available to buy on site.) Getting to and from Spring Paddock should be pretty straightforward – it’s easily accessed from the A34 and a couple of miles from the M6. And once you’re in, getting out to explore the area could barely be easier, as you can simply stroll out onto the footpaths that take you out into Cannock Chase right from the park. Walks and wildlife-spotting may well take up much of your time around here – you’ll often spy things like deer, foxes, badgers, owls and buzzards as you amble nearby. That said, there’s plenty more to fill days with nearby, including outdoor activities, historic sights and a rather fine shopping village…
