What customers say
This is a spotlessly clean and well-maintained site with excellent, modern facilities, including spacious, level pitches. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for canal walks and exploring local attractions. A bonus is the on-site bar, reasonably priced and dog-friendly, with a pub also conveniently located nearby. While most visitors had a superb experience, some noted traffic noise from the adjacent main road, which may affect light sleepers.

If you can live with the road noise, definitely worth a visit.
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (maximum 7 metres, premium)
Liked Firstly the hosts of the site were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to help with anything. The site was extremely clean and well maintained with really nice amenities. Plenty to do off site with lovely canal walk.
Disliked Pub was open for the England game, however unfortunately not open on the Sunday afternoon or evening. However not sure if this was due to no many people on site being a Sunday. The site backs onto the main road, so if you want bird song and the sound of wind passing through the trees probably not fot you.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (premium, XL)
Liked Friendly check in on to site. Pitches were clean upon arrival.
Good base if you like someone to just pitch and go out as quiet central to a lot of things. Pub across the road was good, nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced food / drinks.
Disliked - Someone was parked at our pitch upon arrival, which was annoying.
- Cleanliness of the toilets block was not great. When going for a shower the first afternoon there were feces in the toilets. Then going back the next morning it remained there.
- Men’s toilets were not cleaned during our visit either which was a Friday - Sunday.
- Ants were in every single toilet cubicle huddling by toilets, there was ant catchers but they was not doing anything.
- In the women’s disabled toilet myself & my daughter found the bin overflowing with sanitary items and used nappies. The smell was horrific (reception had already closed to make them aware)
- We didn’t like the fact the toilets / showers are used by people in the bar.
- Noise was quite loud from the main road.
