What customers say

This is a small, peaceful campsite praised for its friendly and accommodating hosts, Jack and Mandy. Visitors highlight the beautiful rural location, excellent stargazing opportunities, level pitches, and clean facilities. Wi-Fi is available and generally works well. While generally well-received, some reviews mention the need for improved toilet facilities due to limited capacity and the shower being coin-operated. The site is considered ideal for relaxation and walks, though parents are advised to supervise children due to it being working farmland.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (backpacker, motorcyclist, no cars)

Liked Spacious pitches on a small and beautiful site. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and even helped us when our blowup bed had a puncture. They now have three loos and the shower was lovely and hot. It takes £1 coins and lasts for 4 minutes. The area around is brilliant, with lots of walking, beautiful scenery and lovely villages nearby. Great pizzas at Daphne’s in Presteigne, 20 mins drive from the site.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked This gorgeous dog friendly campsite is situated in a stunning part of the Shropshire countryside. Surrounded by beautiful hills, sheep and wildlife. The campsite has spacious pitches, well kept facilities (hot showers, toilets and washing up station). It was a perfect spot to relax and unwind for a weekend. We loved chatting to both Jack and Mandy (the owners), and we will certainly return in the future. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this gem of a campsite to all.

Disliked Absolutely nothing!

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Beautifully quiet, clean and welcoming site. Simple facilities (2x toilets / 1 shower), small sale of logs / essentials. The owners Mandy & Jack are so friendly and they’ve created wonderful place for those who appreciate quiet, nature and back to basics. We enjoyed watching a meteor shower in the clear skies at night. Just a genuinely beautiful unspoiled location. We stayed in a self contained campervan with EHU on a well laid out grass pitch. Fresh water and Elsan disposal included.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Very good size pitches, nice location, very clean tidy site. Very good basic facilities and good base for exploring the area. Nice night sky with not very much light polution. If you don't like basic camping then find a hotel? Wae loved this place.

Disliked The weather was a little poor but heh ho thats up to the big one upstairs!

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked I really like this site. It was small and quiet and had everything you really needed for camping plus Wi-Fi!

Disliked I’d recommend bringing a roll of blue roll just because one of the toilets is much more popular than the other and runs out quickly.

From the manager: Hello! Thank you for your lovely review. We have got a cold water washing up sink. I think it may have been hidden by a big camper van that was parked next to it? I’m sorry if I failed to mention to you that it was there. M.

Peaceful farm site with level pitches, and adjacent footpaths.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Lovely quiet site in the country between Clun and Knighton. Both really quaint villages. The Horse and Jockey in Knighton is highly recommended.
Toilet and shower very clean. It's £1.00 per 4 mins for shower. The owners are very helpful and friendly.
Peaceful nights sleep and wish we could have stayed longer. We will return!

Disliked Nothing

Local attractions

There are plenty of options for walks in this area, whether you choose to stay local or head out to a hotspot like Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd (40 minutes’ drive). The Offa’s Dyke Path is a popular trail too, and you can find out more about it at the Offa’s Dyke Centre in Knighton (10 minutes). As well as country rambles, the area has some lovely urban strolls. You may like to start in Clun (10 minutes) to see the 15th-century packhorse bridge and the ruins of Clun Castle.
