Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked We stayed here for a few nights and genuinely had a great experience. The campsite has a really relaxed, peaceful atmosphere and feels like a proper escape from the busy day-to-day. Everything was clean and well looked after, including the facilities, which were regularly maintained.

The hosts were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and it was clear they take pride in the site. The pitches were spacious, and there was plenty of room to enjoy the surroundings. One of the highlights was sitting outside in the evening and looking up at the stars—the dark skies here are amazing.

If I had to pick one small thing, it would be that the access roads are a bit narrow, but that's pretty typical for rural campsites and didn't take away from the experience.

Overall, we'd definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Along the Milky Way Campsite to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic place to unwind.

Liked We had such a lovely stay at this campsite. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome. Jack came straight over to help us when our campervan’s power failed, and nothing was too much trouble.

It’s a real hidden gem, and the night sky was incredible—we were lucky enough to see the most amazing display of stars and even the Milky Way.

The campsite has everything you could need, and we’re so grateful they were able to accommodate us at the last minute. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, friendly campsite.

Liked Stayed on EHU pitch. Lovely quiet site with fantastic views, close to Clun and Ludlow. Nicely spaced pitches, has the basics you need. Mandy and Jack lovely hosts who make sure you are ok and are very approachable. The Bell tent looks gorgeous and cosy. Free WiFi which is a bonus
Will definitely return.

What customers say

This is a small, peaceful, family-run campsite in a beautiful rural location, highly recommended for its tranquil atmosphere and stunning night skies. Guests consistently praise the exceptionally friendly and helpful owners, the spacious and level pitches, and the clean, well-maintained basic facilities, including toilets and hot showers. Minor points mentioned include narrow access roads and the cost/duration of showers, though these did not significantly detract from overwhelmingly positive experiences. The site is ideal for those seeking a relaxing escape surrounded by nature.

Liked Excellent rural site, has good clean amenities with lots of little touches obviously thought about by the hosts, the hosts are friendly, welcoming and readily available if you need any help or just to say hi, beautiful settling with only the sounds of nature and the darkest sky at night for star gazing or just sitting in peace. Hot clean shower (£4 for 4 mins, so don’t forget your pennies!) excellent communication from the hosts before and during our stay - even noticing I had booked the wrong dates to the rest of our party and reaching out to fix my error! Make sure you put the property name into the sat nav along with the postcode and won’t miss it.

Disliked Nothing to dislike!

Electric grass and gravel motorhome pitch

Liked The loveliest campsite. Very friendly owners who have put a lot of thought into small touches - the gentleman saw my toddler colouring and brought him a large blackboard and chalks which he was thrilled with. Wonderfully quiet and peaceful, facilities are basic but clean and everything you need is there.

Disliked Just that we only stayed one night, not two!

Liked Beautiful location, so peaceful with amazing 360 views. Loved watching the red kites every morning. Small campsite and facilities but perfect for what we needed. Owners were very friendly and shared tips for walking to the local town of Clun. Dog friendly too!

Disliked Shower temperature was a bit unpredictable but all facilities were clean and tidy. Otherwise a perfect stay!

Liked Everything, flat pitches, good room between pitches, beautiful tranquil area. The owners were thoughtful and provided everything you could possibly need with some extra touches in case you forget toiletries. Fire pits were free and you could buy logs or coal for your BBQ, I would give them all the stars. The owners even came round in the evening to say hello which I thought was rare and a lovely touch
