  • Luxurious adults-only touring park with easy access from the A49
  • A 15-minute drive to Shrewsbury, Attingham Park or Carding Mill Valley
  • Peaceful dog-friendly site 10 minutes' walk from Dorrington village
Smart Shropshire stays are what’s on offer at Stoney Acres Luxury Holiday Park, a peaceful adults-only touring site in a handy location just off the A49 about 15 minutes’ drive south of Shrewsbury. Easy access to the main road means that it’s simple to get out and explore your surroundings from this park, whether you’re heading up into town, going south into the Shropshire Hills National Landscape or aiming to take in places like Ludlow and the museums of Ironbridge. Once you’ve parked up on site, you can leave the car behind and get around by public transport if you prefer. Handy bus services to Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton leave from the nearby village of Dorrington (10 minutes’ walk away). There are plenty more useful things in the village too – it’s got a village shop, a butchers, a restaurant and a gastropub to make mealtimes easy (whether you’re doing your own cooking or eating out). Back on site, you’ll be staying at a pretty park with landscaped grounds and the extra level of peace you get from a child-free environment. As the name suggests, everything here has been designed to give a sense of luxury to your stay – the bathrooms, for example, have underfloor heating, rainfall showers and granite worktops, along with handy extras like hair dryers. Each pitch has a 16-amp electric supply, a drinking water and waste water facility and a digital TV hookup, and you’ll also have access to shared facilities including a laundry room, ultrafast fibre wifi and a dog wash station to avoid muddy paws after walks with your four-legged pal. The modern design also means this park is fully accessible to guests with disabilities.

What customers say

This adults-only site offers immaculate, modern facilities including luxury shower blocks and complimentary laundry. Pitches are spacious, fully serviced, and well-maintained. Security is a strong feature, with coded gates and barriers. The location is convenient for visiting Shrewsbury and Ludlow, with a nearby pub and shop within walking distance. Some noise from the A49, railway, and a nearby aggregate business is noted, and there are limited on-site dog walking areas.

Liked Lovely welcome when we arrived. Great sized level pitches with electric and water. The shower/toilet block is very modern, warm and kept immaculately clean. About a 20 minute stroll to the bus stop which takes you to Ludlow or Shrewsbury. This truly is a lovely site to stay and we hope to return soon

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch (large)

Liked Site was easy enough to find on Main Road. A very pleasant welcome was received whilst checking in,with full details of local eateries and gate security etc.Very large and level pitches at this site with full services at each pitch.Very clean looking site even at this time of year so in summer I know it would look even better. The facilities are better than excellent and kept in pristine condition.

Disliked On this occasion I found nothing to dislike although it has been mentioned on some reviews about road noise,it didnt disturb us at all.
