  • Well-maintained site between Oswestry and Shrewsbury, off the A5
  • Within 20 minutes' drive of Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Wroxeter
  • Pool table, dog walk, showers, toilets and launderette
You’ll be tickled pink with a stay at Cranberry Moss Caravan Park, a sweet site in rural Shropshire. First up, it's surrounded by the peaceful county betwixt England and Wales that’s long been a bolthole for those seeking quiet rural times: even the invading Romans escaped here in between all that empire building… Next up, this is a well placed site for getting out and about among Shropshire’s activities and attractions – of which there are many, for the county’s gentle pace doesn’t mean a lack of stuff to do. Far from it: from Cranberry Moss you can roll along to world-famed attractions like Ironbridge Gorge, the Saxon – and Tudor – country town of Shrewsbury, and hikes or gentle strolls aplenty among the Long Mynd, Stretton Hills and the Wrekin, all part of the Shropshire Hills of Outstanding Natural Beauty. All this is most easily accessed, as the site is just off the A5 in a handy spot between Oswestry (15 minutes’ drive) and Shrewsbury (20 minutes). For times when you’re not out roaming, there’s a pool table and a dog walk area where canines can stretch their paws. Everyday needs are easily sorted here too, as the amenities include showers, toilets, a washing-up area and a launderette – these last two with spectacular Shropshire views to make your tasks less tiresome.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked More or less, everything.
The lads who run this site know customer service beyond the pale. My lady and I were welcomed by Ash, a most friendly and polite man with a huge beaming smile! So that was a great start!
We were walked down to a choice of pitches and allowed to pick our favourite pitch. It was new years eve....so said Ash, "why don't you join us all for a drink. We have a bar" wow! Thought my lady and me! We went to his little bar and it was so cosy. Ash was behind the bar! Great night.
On the Friday of our stay we decided to go into the village, 3 miles away... could we get a cab? No!!! So Arron asked his partner, Keiran if he would drive us....he did! What a great guy!
We couldn't believe the hospitality!
The site itself was immaculate! The toilets and chemical room spotless! Honestly, these boys run an immaculate site!
We WILL BE COMING AGAIN!
Ash, Arron, Keiran, THANK YOU!!!!!

Disliked The wifi was down, but hey ho!
It was a dodgy cable and not Ash's fault

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The barn when it was open, easy to get to for us, straight off the A5, which is why we like it this time of year

Disliked Hate to be too negative, but unfortunately for me, there are far too many seasonal pitches now. The pitch we was on was considerably smaller than what we've had in previous years here. The shower block was very cold (there was hot water & were clean) but this time of year the heating should be on permanently. Security was quite worrying, just a chain that could easily be broken by the wrong people. The office never seemed to be occupied, although there is a number to call, and owner & warden very pleasant when was around. The site is advertised with free WiFi and a bar/barn. The WiFi didn't exist, and the bar was only open one night, this wasn't really a problem but no information about it was displayed in the office or communicated around site.

Liked I can share enough about this site how beautiful it is.
Staff are amazing and so helpful. A big thank you to Ash who took us in to Shrewsbury. He offered to take us in due to the electric tripping, so therefore showers were taken late in the day.
Ash knew it was my birthday, and was very kind transporting us into town.
Facilities are absolutely spotless.
A wonderful site indeed.
We will be for sure visiting again.
Thank you for making our stay so perfect.

Liked Site small but spacious, the lads were really informative and helpful when we arrived. The facilities are brilliant and so clean, location is great for access to pretty much everywhere, will definitely return. Sadly the WiFi wasn’t available, not through the guys fault.

Disliked Nothing to dislike

Local attractions

Shropshire’s absolutely stacked with things to do – outdoorsy activities, museums, castles, arty attractions, theatres, shops… If you’re blinded by choice or need a bit of inspiration, who better to ask than the folk on site, local experts who’ll happily dole out a bit of advice. Among the top picks they might point you towards are the splendid estates of Attingham Park (20 minutes’ drive), a National Trust property where you can paddle canoes or frolic in the Field of Play, and Weston Park (40 minutes), to stroll through gardens designed by the famed Capability Brown. Those Roman visitors left a bit of stuff behind when they moved on, and you can see their style on a trip to Wroxeter Roman City (20 minutes). This area was central to more recent history too – notably at Ironbridge (35 minutes), birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with fab museums and family-friendly attractions. If you’re in the company of kids (or indeed grownups) fascinated by all things that move, pack them into the car for the 40-minute drive to see the planes at the Royal Air Force Museum or to take a steam-driven ride on the Severn Valley Railway from Bridgnorth.
