Liked: The site was beautiful and when we visited very quiet! The owners were fantastic. They messaged the day of our arrival and then met us when we arrived. They provided us with a map of the local area with some lovely walks. We walked to a local pub for diner based on their recommendations. The facilities were fantastic and well maintained! We would 100% recommend the site!

Liked: Campsite is beautiful and peaceful with wild rabbits everywhere and horses in a nearby field. There's lots of walks nearby including one right by the campsite through woodland round a lake. There's also a hut with loads of seating and benches should you fancy a solid roof over your head for a drink or a sit down.
Disliked: Campfire hire seemed quite pricey I've had it cheaper elsewhere and understand why. But realise that insurance for campfires is expensive and feel that £15-£20 might be pretty standard really can't fault anything else. Plus it's cheap to stay per night so pretty much evens out.

Liked: From arrival to the end , this place is absolutely perfect. From the little barn complete with rustic furniture , WiFi, crockery items and utensils that you can borrow, microwave, toaster as well . Bathrooms are immaculate maintained. The hosts are such lovely people, it was a pleasure to meet them. All the campers were so friendly adding to an already peace air. The camping site is spotless. BBQ and firepits available . You can go for a relaxing walk around the lake and woods, plenty of wildlife to be seen. At night it's so dark you can see literally thousands of stars , do bring a torch. Your camping spots are far enough apart to feel peaceful and private, but close enough to talk with other campers. They have tours around the vineyard and pop up bars . We will definitely be staying again. It's a truly wonderful place
Disliked: The only thing to dislike is telling other pitchup members about this perfect place.

Liked: The kitchen / relax area is beautiful, super comfy and really relaxed, the place felt really safe and friendly
Disliked: They could really do with a catcher on the ride on mower, the grass clippings got into everything, my tent, my car, the amenities, absolutely everywhere!

From the manager: Thanks for your review! As we have a large area to cut and maintain grass cuttings are inevitable unfortunately, as it’s growing so quickly . As we have experienced over the years the grass will not grow so fast and there will be less of it. However we will maintain with our grass cutting to ensure the site is looking its best for our guests . Sorry that this was a burden for you and hope you’ll revisit again in the future.

Liked: Location was great and being so close to the mere was perfect for walking the dog. Abundance of wildlife around, and it was nice seeing the rabbits roaming around freely. Owners came across as pleasant and helpful. The toilets were fine midweek when the site was quiet.
Disliked: Toilets got dirty very quickly on the weekend when the site got busy. 2 toilets each for males and females isn't adequate when so many people are on site. Had to queue a couple of times and one of the ladies loos ran out of toilet roll at one point!

Kingfisher yurt
Liked: The locations of the site was perfect and very idilic, close enough to travel to supermarket by car if needing to. Owner was very helpful and set up our fire pit next to our pitch. We stayed in the yurt which was nicely fitted out with blankets, minifridge and a plates etc Facilities were clean on every visit. Reception area was lovely and catered for everything you could think of. Lots of beautiful scenery and walks close to hand.
Disliked: Dead flies dropping on the bed from the yurt roof window. Understandably being out in nature but maybe could have been delt with before our arrival. Wooden step into yurt was very slippy and I did manage to slip on it despite being aware it was wet and slippy.
