  • Family-friendly Shropshire touring site on a working farm
  • Views to Caer Caradoc, 10 minutes' drive away; 25 mins to Ironbridge
  • Accessible bathrooms available; dogs welcome; pub half a mile away
All the sights and sounds of the farm are waiting for guests at Upper Farm Caravan Site, a Shropshire touring park that’s part of a working farm about half a mile from the village of Cardington. You’ll get a friendly welcome from the owners and the resident animals alike at this quiet rural site – and you’ll get some fabulous views as well, looking out over Wenlock Edge, Caer Caradoc and Brown Clee Hill. And that lovely combination makes this a splendid place to slow down for a few days, while also exploring all the walks and other attractions around this scenic area. In fact you can start by setting off along the footpaths that run through the farm (particularly handy for those who are bringing their dog along). Everything here has been nicely thought out for guests – for starters, you’ll be staying on spacious pitches that are well maintained and separated by hedges for a bit of privacy and shelter. Each one has an electric hookup, and you’ll also have access to shared facilities including a chemical disposal point, wifi and bathrooms and modern bathrooms with showers and toilets. With level access throughout and accessible bathrooms, it’s also nicely set up for guests with reduced mobility. How you spend your days around here is up to you – perhaps you’d like to visit the 10 museums of Ironbridge, clamber up Caer Caradoc or spend some time exploring the lovely towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury. One thing’s for sure, though – a trip (or few) to the local 15th-century should be on the schedule for excellent meals and local ales.
