What customers say
This campsite offers a peaceful rural escape with stunning hill views and direct access to hiking trails. Pitches are spacious and well-mown, providing privacy. A dog-friendly pub is within walking distance. Facilities are generally basic but kept clean, though some reviews note a need for more toilets and improved shower maintenance. The proximity of a train line is mentioned by some guests as a potential noise issue, while others found it unobtrusive. The site is praised for its friendly owners and good value. In response to feedback, the manager plans to introduce flushing toilets and additional showers for the next season.

Very lovely, would recommend! Lovely people who own the campsite.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful area, camp site not too big but has shade. Perfect to get to Church Stretton or Cardingmill Valley. Easy to get too from the A49
Disliked Next to train track, the trains didn’t disturb us too much but nonetheless

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Well kept pitches and lovely rural feel. Nice spacious pitches and felt like you really just had your own private space. Lovely location and easy access. Basic but clean and tidy shower facilities. Lovely stay thank you! Fab distance from cardingmilll valley and lots of local walks nearby!
Disliked Compost toilets themselves were kept well. However the cubicles only had one that locked, was tight to get into and shut the door and had what I can only assume is human excrement across the doors/walls. I know this isn’t the owners fault as people can be gross but a good clean would be helpful. They also had gaps in the doors and a DIY partition between cubicles

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice location, good pub 5 mins walk, flat pitches
Disliked Tents were cramped into a small area of the large field for some reason, noisy at night. Only one water tap to service whole site

Nice site that could do with more care
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked That someone was there to greet us. Friendly owners.
Lovely field.
Night sky.
Close to village pub with good food.
Disliked Inconsiderate Behaviour of other campers- noise, flashlamps, music, door banging, leaving toulets unflushed. This could be managed a little better by being more present maybe and talking to campers, and looking that showers and toilets get cleaned more regularly.
