What customers say
This site offers a peaceful, tranquil experience in an open meadow with stunning Shropshire views. Visitors praised the solitude, playground, and the helpfulness of the hosts, who strike a good balance between attentiveness and allowing guests privacy. Many enjoyed the "wild camping" feel, spotting wildlife, and the on-site honesty box. While most experiences were highly positive, one campervan review mentioned a less-than-ideal pitch with poor water access and a high price. Some found pitches weren't perfectly level.

Excellent quiet site off the beaten track.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (wild)
Liked Tucked away off a quiet country lane, a very peaceful and relaxing campsite with acres of space and good views of the countryside.
Disliked Very very basic, with no lighting or running water (if that's what you're after)?!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (wild)
Liked Beautiful views, clean toilet and very friendly owners.
Make sure to take lots of clean water but other than that, the facilities were great.
Surrounding countryside is perfect for walks and we had lots of fun making a camp fire in the evenings.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (wild)
Liked Friendly folk, and plenty of room for multiple pitches, whilst still maintaining a sense of personal space. Good walks in the surrounding area.
Disliked Although this is not necessary for a good time, a clean water tap would improve the experience.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (wild)
Liked Acres of space, great views across the countryside towards the Wrekin. We were lucky enough to stay when the night sky was clear and were treated to an amazing starry night with no light pollution, which was breathtaking. Toilet facilities were clean and easy to use, good range of bits and bobs in the honesty box, but remember to bring plenty of drinking water. Could hear the owls at night hooting away.
Disliked Kids would have liked to have had some fellow younger campers on site to play with but the adults loved the peace.

Disliked ..didn‘t find the camp site, is not even sign posted. So pitched tent elsewhere on a free field at a farmhouse. 🙄

From the manager: You actually pitched in a field that had an event on which was no where near the campsite. It's not a "free field" it's private property .
We called you to explain this and you kept putting down the phone after shouting things in German. We then drove down to you and offered to give you and your bike and tent a lift to the campsite.

Cattle trailer microlodge
Liked Really good value for money, the location is beautiful. It looks to be near an old ecclesiastical site, which is gorgeous. The campsite is on top of the hills with excellent views of the surrounding countryside. The campsite had moved from last year's location, and I didn't read the info on the website, but the lady I contacted was very helpful. The trailer itself is great, and my daughter loves it. There is a log fire outside the trailer, but the gov has stopped fires currently because it's so dry, so only the gas stove is currently allowed. However, as this improves, it's a great addition which is included within the booking price.
