Danery Meadow Park

Bridgnorth, two miles away, is a historic market town in two halves: shops, pubs and riverside walks in Low Town, and the older streets, the leaning castle ruin and Castle Walk viewpoint in High Town, linked by the Bridgnorth Cliff Railway, England's steepest inland funicular. The Severn Valley Railway runs heritage steam trains 16 miles from Bridgnorth station, three miles from the park, down the valley to Kidderminster, with the Engine House visitor centre at Highley along the way. Comer Woods, half a mile up the lane, has waymarked walking and cycling trails through National Trust woodland on the Dudmaston estate. Dudmaston Hall itself, with its gardens and parkland, is a mile and a half away. Severn Valley Country Park at Alveley, about five miles, has riverside meadows and a visitor centre. Further afield: Ironbridge Gorge and its museums are under 30 minutes by car; Kinver Edge and the Rock Houses and West Midland Safari Park about 20 minutes; RAF Museum Midlands at Cosford about 30 minutes; Ludlow about 40 minutes; Shrewsbury about 45 minutes.
