What customers say
This is a spacious, peaceful, and "wild" camping site with large pitches and ample privacy. Guests appreciate the riverside location with swimming opportunities, hammocks, and wildlife. Facilities are basic but generally clean. While many enjoy the tranquility, some note the distance to toilets and showers. The site offers a natural escape with friendly hosts.

Lots of space between pitches, loads…
Freedom non-electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lots of space between pitches, loads of room for the dog to roam, not too far from Oxford for a bit of sightseeing, river was great for cooling off on a really warm couple of days.
Disliked Showers didn’t all lock and weren’t entirely private (large gap around the door). I appreciate we were prewarned about the lack of bins but it would be a big improvement if some were provided.

Great to have privacy by the pitches being spaced out. Easy self service check in with lots of info for the site and surrounding areas. Amazing river side spot and walk from site.

Wonderful, peaceful getaway - very highly recommended
Eco non-electric grass and earth campervan or tent pitch (private bathroom amenities)
Liked Absolutely wonderful campsite. We had an eco pitch with our own composting loo, picnic bench, and fire pit, right by the river. The pitch had loads of space, and the entire site is really well laid out.
The place is lovely and peaceful - the loudest noise we heard last night was a tawny owl in the tree by our tent.
There's a small farm shop at reception where as well as selling firewood, various meat products, eggs and coffee, there's also a fridge and a freezer for guests to use. There are several walks to excellent pubs - we walked around an hour each way across fields to the Bat and Ball in Cuddesdon for Sunday lunch, which was great.
It is worth pointing out that for those staying on an eco pitch one is expected to empty one's own composting loo. Put aside any nightmare visions of a shovel and a wheelbarrow! It was very well set up, with a bag to hold the solid waste and a plastic container for the liquid, that just had to be dropped off round the back of the shower block. It was no big deal at all.
We loved our two nights at D'Oyleys Farm, and will certainly be returning!

Liked We loved the massive amount of extra space per pitch. We loved the riverside Holt & picnic area under the trees
Disliked No shade on our pitch & the toilets were a bit far & only 4 in total for the whole site. Luckily it was very quiet though.
