Liked Charming little campsite, lovely little shop, pop up bar, venue and facilities also a hidden art gallery. The site was woody and green. Lovely place to stay I'd have liked to have met a person on arrival
Stable Barn shepherd's hut
Liked The site it's self is very friendly toilets were clean. There is also a park for the children to play and a Caffe and bar on site.
Disliked No one was on the desk when we arrived so we rang the number. We were directed by phone how to get to our cabin and where the key would be. We were not given any other instructions on where showers toilets kitchen were etc. I'd have liked to physically spoken to someone face to face, so more information could be given.

From the manager: The warden runs the site alone, typically when it gets after 6pm he will be busy around the site cleaning the facilities. He is cleaning from 8am until 11, then at reception or close by reception from 12 o’clock until around 5pm , then cleaning from 6pm until 8pm managing check ins up until 8pm via telephone, there are 5 maps across the site showing all the facilities, you could also ask the warden or text him. I will pop by now and explain in details where all the facilities are
Disappointing
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked The live music and bar on Saturday. The musician was very talented and entertaining.
The proximity for attractions in the Cotswolds, eg Cotswold Wildlife Park and Bourton on the Water
Nice sheltered pitches with electric hook up, in a hedged field.
Disliked No map of site, so no instructions for fire procedure, contact number of local emergency gp.
Disappointed with the number of toilet and shower facilities, just two female/male toilets and one shower in one block before 8am, second but more modern block with similar facilities open at 8am.
Lock on one of the female toilets in older block didn't lock properly.
More facilities in camping field at the weekend , 3 showers and four toilets for each gender, but these were locked again with padlocks by Monday morning.
Lack of "grey water" disposal and lack of "chemical water" disposal , we brought ours home!
Dust bins overflowing with rubbish bags by the time we were leaving on Monday morning, so we brought our rubbish bag home with us too.

From the manager: Thanks for your review , when I spoke to you in the morning I was very confused with what you were stating. You told me we only had one toilet and one shower. I explained that we have multiple toilets and showers , but when cleaning occurs we alternate between them, we keep one set open whilst the others are cleaned , then clean the next set. Once the morning clean is done all the toilets are open all day and once the same process happens in the evening all the toilets are open all day. At the front of the campsite where you were staying we have 5 female toilets and 4 male, then 3 female showers and 3 male. We also have 6 private toilets for those in private fields or accommodations and 2 private showers. On busy weekends when the whole campsite is in use we have a further 5 toilets and 6 showers. This gives you a combined total of 18 toilets and 13 showers, you can check government guidelines which state there must be 1 toilet and shower for every 25 pitches. We far exceed this with only 100 units total. There is also a map on reception, in front of the small shower toilet block, inside reception, at the top field , private field and washing up sinks. These maps have a key which explains where all the facilities are. We have a toilet waste point which doubles up as a grey waste point. The fire procedure is on the notice board and there are instructions on the fire points which are spread out across the whole campsite (mainly down the gravel track) the rubbish bins are collected by the council, unfortunately we have tried to ask for multiple collection dates per week but we still have to subscribe to our weekly collection of normal rubbish on a Tuesday and recycling on a Thursday. Most if not all of this information is sent to you when you book within the site rules, can be found on our website or in our terms and conditions. Japan are way ahead of us with their self cleaning toilets, we haven’t quite got there yet, so unfortunately as much as we dislike cleaning them. They must be cleaned a minimum of two times per day. When this cleaning occurs there will always be a slight reduction in total amounts of toilets available at that present moment. We just ask our customers to be a little understanding and happy that we strive to keep them spotless at all times. We’ve tried cleaning them whilst keeping them open and this makes the whole process of cleaning them three times longer.
