  • Award-winning site on an Oxfordshire farm 10 mins' drive from Banbury
  • Blenheim Palace and Warwick Castle within a 40-minute drive
  • Friendly owners on hand to offer local advice; dogs welcome
‘Whatever you wish to do, we’ll try our best to help you achieve it,’ say the folk that run Anita's Touring Caravan Park – and that’s a generous offer indeed, as it’s quite likely the plethora of options around here for outings and activities may leave some guests feeling a little bewildered… This well-maintained award-winning site site is part of an Oxfordshire farm that’s very well located for all sorts of activities, whether you fancy gentle days of walking and cycling along local lanes or ticking off big attractions like Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace and the British Motor Museum. You’ll also be able to add places like Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon to your list of places to go, and venture into the Cotswolds for scenic walks and visits to gorgeous towns and villages. Essentially, whatever you’ve got in mind, the friendly team here will help you out with leaflets, maps and suggestions – including ideas for places to eat and a few local spots you may not have thought of. As well as providing a welcoming atmosphere and heaps of useful advice, the owners have also set up lots of handy amenities for guests, including a well-stocked shop, picnic tables and a couple of covered eating areas to make mealtimes nice and easy. There’s also a dog park, a chemical disposal point and a smart fully tiled toilet block that’s kept clean at all times and has accessible facilities.

Liked Clean and quiet. Lovely layout of the pods, very sociable space. And the lit up gazebo worked really well for supper.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Security coded gates, welcome arrival, quiet site, clean spacious facilities block, lovely villages nearby with our of town shopping at Banbury Cross 4 miles away.

Disliked The pitch sloped considerably sidewards. After dark, the site lighting was poor to access the route to the toilets- torch recommended. £35 is expensive, unfortunately this is becoming the norm.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Lovely family feel, very clean and well maintained.
Guided to our pitch which was clearly marked and of a decent size.

Disliked Wish all the users would recognise the one way system .. but that’s not in the site team control.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Wonderful little site! So well looked after. Lots of quirky little spaces for caravans, tents, shepherd huts and yurts and beautifully clean facilities. Little shop selling all the necessities was a bonus. Staff are so friendly and incredibly accommodating with our request for a late check out. We hope to return.

From the manager: 😊 Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear you found the site well organised and enjoyed the food van and the nearby pub.

With regard to the pitch, we did review your booking during your stay and relocated the guests on the neighbouring pitch to provide you with additional space, meaning you did not have any immediate neighbours beside you.

Thank you again for your comments, and we hope to welcome you back in the future. 🏕️🙂

Local attractions

As well as having tons of gorgeous walks and bike rides, this area is liberally dotted with heritage attractions. Nearby, you can flex that National Trust card at 18th-century Farnborough Hall (five minutes’ drive) and Upton House and Gardens (15 minutes), with a fabulous art collection as well as the gorgeous gardens. Broughton Castle (15 minutes) and Warwick Castle (25 minutes) are also not far off – or you could make the trip to Blenheim Palace (40 minutes) for a day exploring the state rooms, formal gardens and other attractions (including a maze, a mini train and a butterfly house). Even the urban centres around here are historic – you could walk in the footsteps of Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon (35 minutes), stroll around pretty Stow-on-the-Wold (45 minutes) or pop into the colleges of Oxford (45 minutes). For something a bit different, admire all the shiny vehicles at the British Motor Museum or book a meeting with the cute hairy cows at Colready Highlands – both are 15 minutes’ drive away.
