Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Lovely play park for my 3 year old, nice and quiet site good option if you like small sites. Cafe on site, and some nice walks nearby.

Disliked: We felt that the facilities more so the toilet wasn’t great, more because of the fact you have to walk between two large ponds to get to it in the pitch black as there’s no lights at night on the site which is so dangerous. Also the chemical disposal hose is broken so water spurts everywhere when you’re trying to clean the loo. There’s also some issues with the waste disposals on our pitch it was so high we couldn’t empty our drain properly.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Nice pitches with electric/ water but not waste outlet Private ish pitch grass or hand-standing , the chemical waste area not great for emptying as was awkward position and hose pipe was broken, fishing ponds were ok but need attention, onsite cafe really nice and also child’s playground was handy, a little more attention to detail this would be a great site , oh the gate locks are a real pain getting in or out after the cafe closes

Disliked: Wifi non existent Locks on gates real pain Only 1 toilet / shower and long walk to them in the dark as no lights

If it’s green space you’re after, get to the National Trust’s Clumber Park (20 minutes’ drive) for cycling and walking on trails amid farmland and woodland, then wander down by the river at the Idle Valley Nature Reserve (five minutes). Got kids eager to eye up animals? Yomp to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park (15 minutes) and mingle with more than 300 different types of species. If you don’t have any nippers to think about, head to historic market towns like Bawtry (five minutes), Retford (10 minutes) and Newark (35 minutes) for grownup adventures. Roving around religious architecture is also within reach at Rufford Abbey (35 minutes) and Southwell Minster (40 minutes).
