What customers say
This peaceful countryside site offers spacious, well-maintained pitches, many with water and electric hook-up (coin-operated). Guests highlight the cleanliness of the facilities, including toilets and showers. Its quiet location is complemented by a nearby pub and shop, with a working windmill also a popular attraction. Some visitors noted occasional road noise and higher-than-expected electricity costs.

Liked Made very welcome. The pitches are hard standing and large. I loved having my morning cuppa at the picnic table. It's lovely and peaceful. We walked into the village 10 mins for milk and goodies. It's a well stocked shop. We walked in a loop from the shop to South leverton then headed back towards the site but slightly delayed tired to have a pic at the windmill. (Open sat only) Take £1 or £2 coins for the electric I think we put £8 in for 2 night 2.5 days happy with that. £25 per night + elec you get water and grey waste bonus. Toilet & sink very clean. I didn't go in the shower & toilet room as use my own in caravan. Take wooden blocks for the caravan legs it's a tiny bit uneven but no Biggie. WiFi (Giffgaff) was terrible but it was lovely because it phones were put in the draw for 2 days another bonus.
Disliked Nothing had a fab rest from work.

Highly recommend for a peaceful weekend.
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)
Liked Well maintained, pretty gardens, small quiet site in beautiful countryside. Big pitches. Single shower with a toilet, very clean and loads of hot water. Another single toilet next door, again lovely and clean Within walking distance to the local shop and pub.
Disliked We picked a weekend of high winds and tried to put up an awning! So check weather forecast ahead of time , not the sites fault!

Nice tidy site, but could do with spacing the pitches out better
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)
Liked Pretty site kept really tidy, easy little walk into the village for local shop and pubs
Disliked Pitches are to close together, we had a nightmare getting onto the end pitch, no way you’d be able to do most of them without a motor mover. Electric was expensive too, it costs less to use in our 4 bedroom home

Liked Small well kept site with nice fully serviced pitches and a big field for children to run around. We liked that each pitch also had a picnic bench
Disliked There was no play area as advertised on the listing and shown on the photos which was a key factor when booking the site, hence the rating. We also found the road to be quite noisy as the site is next to a busy road.

From the manager: Hi we are sorry you’re disappointed. We did have play equipment which the council made us take away. Said we need plan permission I will go on the website and take the photographs off
Liked it
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)
Liked Spacious pitches with hookup by coin, for us was fine as only used for small heater & kettle so hardly used 50p. Comfortable dhort walk to local village pub. Facilities were fine though one slight hiccup on dislikes.
Disliked As we were only there for a night and the only ones apart from the caretaker, the shower was not hot so a little shock to the system to wake up when used in morning 🙂

A hidden gem of a site
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)
Liked A little gem of a site. A handful of decent sized gravel pitches, a clean toilet and shower, and very peaceful. The owner was very relaxed and kind, and the fees are very fair. We found electricity was reasonable- we turned the fridge down a little and switched our heating to dual fuel, and £6 lasted us two days. There is only one shower on site so bear this in mind if arriving with a bigger group.

Liked Perfect little hidden gem. Peaceful and very quiet. Nice sized gravel pitches. Take £1 Coins with you for electric. We stayed for 2 nights and used £1.60. We have a Peugeot Boxer M/H. Location is great and the Windmill just down the road is a must. Retford is 10 mins drive down the road so great for shopping and eateries.
