  • Small Nottinghamshire glamping site just outside the village of Bunny
  • Nottingham 15 minutes' drive; walk to Rushcliffe Country Park
  • Bell tents on a deck with kitchen, firepit and private hot tub
With fabulous countryside views all around and village amenities only a few minutes’ walk away, Little Bunny Retreat is certainly in a splendid spot for a stay in south Nottinghamshire. This friendly little site has just a small number of glamping tents set up in a lovely spot between the villages of Bunny and Bradmore, about 15 minutes’ drive from Nottingham. You’ll be able to walk to pubs, cafés and shops in about 10-15 minutes, or just take a walk out into the countryside – perhaps to the nearby Rushcliffe Country Park, which has walking trails, an adventure playground and various other activities. The bell tents here are rather lovely setups that are suitable for couples or families – each one of the five-metre tents has a kingsize bead and a couple of foldable futon beds for the kids. They’re also supplied with mains electricity and a heater, and you’ll have your own kitchenette with a fridge, sink and food prep area along with a good stash of cooking and dining equipment. Outdoors is where it’s at on a glamping holiday, so you’ll also be provided with a picnic table, a firepit with cooking grill and a bag of seasoned wood, kindling and firelighters. The tents are all set up on their own decked area that provides a nice solid base – and handily also allows space for each tent to have its own hot tub just outside too (how fabulous…) The site also has a pizza oven that you’re welcome to use if you fancy a different outdoor cooking option.

Bell tent

Liked: The place was lovely quite and clean. They provided excellent facilities and a file with info about local supermarkets and places to eat which was very helpful. When we arrived we were unsure of where to sign in but rang owners and they were very helpful over the phone as they were away themselves

Disliked: It wasnt easy to find coming back in the dark just needs some lights on the entrance and would of liked a little more info on the jacuzzi ie switch it off at night as we were unsure. I would suggest a towel rack as there was no where to put wet towel costumes etc and couldn’t leave outside as was raining in the night.

Bell tent

Liked: The bell tents have everything you need and they are really cosy.

Disliked: The tents are super close together and if (like us) you have a loud crowd next to you it’s not great! We had a two young men who invited their friends back and were drinking way past 11pm. In the end we messaged the owner but nothing was done about quickly so we ended up telling them to be quiet which made things so awkward the next morning considering they are so close😬 There are 5 tents and only 1 (pooing) toilet and one shower. For £200 a night it’s just not quite there.
