    Disliked:

no refund offered even after we paid deposit and was told they couldn't find the keys for shower block meaning 2 very upset children as caravan was packed and ready to go.
So had to try and find somewhere else last minute.
Really not happy. Won't be booking there again if this is how unorganised it is!

    Not a lot

    Disliked:

Most of it!! After reading the description of the site we were looking forward to a nice busy weekend finishing with a few drinks at one of the "many bars" to which there is only 2. To get into nottingham is a good hour by bus, the only part of the description that is true is the lovely walk by the river. The facilities are disgusting, damp dirty and cold with no hot water and nowhere to wash pots. No chemical waste area either only the toilets. Who ever wrote the description needs to take another look at what exactly their site has to offer. Like other reviews I would never go back there

The place itself is beautiful and Beryl the caretaker is a wonderful lady, tries her hardest but is losing the battle ..The walks along the river are amazing and peaceful. We also found all the locals are very very friendly..

    Disliked:

Dislikes big time ..We were parked on the edge of this beautiful site as though we were an afterthought.. It is definitely NOT a full serviced hard standing especially for motor homes.. There was no waste disposal, no black waste disposal only in the men's toilets after a good few minutes walk, which in themselves were DISGUSTING . No hot water to wash your hands, no paper towels no hand dryer no proper doors for privacy. My wife had to ask me to come with her as it was around a corner and total darkness ..she refused to have a shower and had to have strip washes in the motor home.. couldn't fault Beryl, when we went to empty the black waste she was vigorously cleaning the men's toilets with what must have been cold water..When the owners update the conveniences we would love to go again..

The location is very close to the river with good walks and bike rides.
Some good eating houses within walking distance.
The lady who runs the site is very plesent and informative.

    Disliked:

The pitches are stuck on the side of the road and appear to be an after thought or an attempt by the owners to make more money.
The pitches are not fully serviced as advertised, whilst there is electric hookup the grey waste disposal and fresh water is on the other side of the site and black waste is disposed of in the gents toilet!!!
The toilets are some of the worst I have ever seen, whilst the lady warden does her best to keep them clean they need a complete refurbishment, down advertise facilites or better still knock them down and start again if you are serious about having a touring site.
