Holly tree park and fish

  • Adults-only park in the grounds of a 16th-century country pub
  • A 10-minute drive from Skegness and 15 from the Lincolnshire Wolds
  • Fishing lake use for an additional fee; river fishing also available
It may be in the heart of rural Lincolnshire, but it’s a mere 10-minute drive from dog-friendly and adults-only Holly Tree Park And Fish to Skegness for adventures by the sea. Anglers take note – you’ll have access to a lovely (paid) fishing lake, which is well stocked with various species, including large tench, bream and carp; river fishing is free. And if you’re not into angling, the lake is still a scenic spot in which to pass some time. Continue your explores by heading out to stretch your legs – there are plenty of cycle tracks and country walks in the area to roam. For ventures further afield, the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape is a 15-minute drive away. The park also sits on the banks of the River Steeping, with access to the water for those who'd like to launch canoe or paddleboard adventures. When you're not out exploring the Wolds or the coast, settle in for cosy evenings at the on-site pub (open during the evening at weekends, from March until the end of November only). The traditional place dates back to the 16th century and has an open fire and an outdoor seating area. Please note that food is not served at Holly Tree Park And Fish. The amenities at base include showers, toilets and a washing-up area; barbecues are permitted.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The security of the site and the staff were friendly

Disliked No hand soap in the toilets or running hot water and minimal toilet roll was supplied daily ( luckily we bought our own but not everyone does), the shower facilities although very spacious lacked water pressure, I feel with a bit of focus in these areas this would be a really nice site to stay on.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely peaceful countryside. Loved the wandering ducks from the fishing pool. Clean facility's. Close proximity to Skegness.

Disliked Only 1 toilet for women, when gents had 2 cubicles and 3 urinals. Family shower rooms are in the caravan field. But guessing the toilet situation is because it's a fishing pool? Could do with a light over washing up area.

Liked Staff are AMAZING. So nice and welcoming the whole campsite is very homely. Great amenities, glorious hot showers. They do maggot racing on Saturdays which is an incredible way to make friends. Really nice sense of community there even though we went as a young couple. Will definitely stay again the lake is 😍

Local attractions

You won’t be short of things to do in Lincolnshire when bedding down at this park. For starters, it’s a 10-minute drive from the 18th-century Gunby Estate, Hall and Gardens, as well as being the same distance from the Bengal tigers and 100 parrot species at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park. Spot more creatures – this time of the underwater sort – at Skegness Aquarium (15 minutes), lingering for longer in the town to take in the model village as well. Adrenaline-seekers can saunter over to the Pleasure Beach FairGround (20 minutes) afterwards for rollercoaster rides by the beach. Fantasy Island theme park (20 minutes) is another place to get your thrills, and those more interested in sedate times can have a gentle jaunt on the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway (20 minutes) instead. If you’re not done with animal attractions, head to the Natureland Seal Sanctuary, pet the barnyard critters at Hardy's Animal Farm and see specimens from faraway climates at the ARK wildlife park & exotic animal sanctuary (all 20 minutes).
