  • Well-maintained and peaceful riverside hideaway in Lincolnshire
  • Wisbech or King's Lynn 20 minutes' drive
  • Located by the mouth of the river Nene by two lighthouses
Close to The Wash on the edge of Lincolnshire, this small-scale riverside retreat is well-placed for inland and coastal exploration in the East of England. East Bank Lighthouse Riverside is right next to The Wash National Nature Reserve by the mouth of the river Nene and is overlooked by a pair of lighthouses. You can pitch up wherever you please along the grassy river bank here, where there is easy access to footpaths out towards the sea or the surrounding marshes. Picking samphire, jumping over creeks, seal watching and adventuring out to abandoned islands are all activities you can get up to here; bringing your bike and/or fishing equipment is also sure to open up possibilities in the local area. There is also a popular public picnic site a short walk from base, while the local village facilities in Sutton Bridge (five minutes' drive) include a bakery, takeaways, a pub and a small supermarket.
