Campervan/ Tent Box pitch.

  • Quiet and family-friendly wild site in North Lincolnshire countryside
  • Gainsborough 20 minute’ drive and Bawtry 25 minutes
  • Woodlands, ponds, wildlife, campfires and dark skies on clear nights
Space, silence, campfires and real countryside… you must have arrived at Everwild Camping, deep in North Lincolnshire countryside about 20 minutes’ drive from Gainsborough. This is a wild site for guests who want to get back to nature without giving up the small comforts that make a stay go with a swing. You can spread out on a generous group pitch with friends and family, or retire to a secluded corner of the woodland to enjoy having nature all to yourself. Fires are encouraged, and your only soundtrack is birdsong, crackling logs and the soft rustle of wildlife moving through the trees. And the property is alive with wildlife: deer wandering at dawn, birds of prey circling overhead, waterfowl on the ponds and owls calling at night … all the small wonders of a thriving ecosystem. And when the sun goes down, the stars take over. With almost no light pollution, the night skies are bright, clear and memorable. Things are kept simple on site, but never inconvenient; there isn't running water, but you can bring your own or purchase bottled water on site for drinking and cooking. There are clean and well-maintained portable loos (but no showers) and plenty of space so everybody (dogs included) can have a run around with a ball, play hide and seek and generally create happy memories. Fancy a change of scenery? Choose between pubs at West Stockwith (five minutes’ drive), Owston Ferry and Haxey (both 10 minutes), and if you need to top up on shopping, Gainsborough is the place to go.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked This place is an absolute find and by far the best place I have stayed. So if you don’t mind not having a shower or running water i would 💯 give this place a try. We did 2 nights here and I could have easily stayed longer. Really nice place to reset and luckily for me my phone signal was rubbish which was so nice.
Pitches are nicely spaced out and there is no overcrowding. It’s really well looked after and maintained and the staff are all super lovely as are their kids, Ada in particular was a great little host she walked us round everywhere and was super polite. It was just me my little girl and our dog and I barely seen my little girl because she was off with other kids getting full of mud and living her best life. Can not recommend it enough.

Disliked There was nothing I didn’t like even when it poured down everything about this place is just relaxing and so nice to be in nature.

Non-electric forest floor tent pitch (six person)

Liked The woodland setting had a very family friendly vibe and we enjoyed the freedom to pitch multiple tents for the kids.

There was a handy essentials hut to make purchases and the portaloos always smelled fresh and clean - for a portaloo.

The owners camped on site and were very nice and chatty.

Disliked Sadly the site didn’t provide the isolation and privacy I expected from the blurb.

I could clearly see and hear the other pitches, one van playing loud music in the small hours, and people were constantly walking right by our pitch from both sides - I dare say we unintentionally intruded on other pitches too.

I guess my idea of going off grid and completely switching off includes from people too.

Had to buy a lot of water too.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked Personable, community feel
Quiet pitches
Well kept site with lots of areas still for wildlife (I was very excited to hear a tawny owl right by my pitch!)
Blackberries to pick
Honesty hut for any forgotten supplies
Campfires allowed (sticks fair game, living trees are not)
Dogs allowed
An absolute gem of a find! I’m torn between telling everyone I know about it and keeping it a secret just for me!

From the manager: Hi Jade

So glad you liked the spot. Hope to see you again and make sure you bring your bird spotting book!
