Beautiful lakes.
Pitches around lakes and static caravans really nice.
Close to wolds.
Friendly / helpful lady in reception
New shower block..with hand dryer.
New cafe on site looks nice. (Nice staff)
Not a like, but don't be put off with the very close railway line...very light traffic.
Disliked Seems to be geared up for owner caravans on site.
Touring pitches need TLC (too many thistles and nettles)
Grumpy / rude male reception staff. ( unfortunately not just me noticed)
Shower/ lavatory block a fair walk away from the pitch.
Not a dislike..too many fish in usable lakes due to drought.
Would be nice to have a dog field..
Dogs barking somewhere nearby during the night.

Disliked Only dislike is you at Pitch up. We request on booking to be close to the washrooms/toilets, this was not passed on the the camp at all. If it had we would have taken the option of having a normal pitch and taken our fresh water

Liked Very clean site, clean facilities, spacious pitches and friendly staff.
Lakes are well stocked and certainly keep you busy when fishing.
Couple of lakes closed due to water levels which is to be expected due to the extreme weather we have experienced however larger lakes still produced 35-40 fish for us over the weekend.
Disliked We didn’t get to check out the cafe onsite due to this being closed for renovations, for the size of the site I think it could do with a few more toilets and showers. Mobile signal is poor however there is a guest WiFi you can use which will give you Internet access but not great for streaming.

Liked Lovely large serviced pitch. Peaceful and relaxing weekend. Friendly greeting from the lady at reception (forgive me forgetting her name). Some of the ponds closed for fishing due to low water levels but some still ok to fish.

Disliked Nothing to do on site only fishing / cafe closed for refurbishment but not knowing until we got there was not very good but hopefully will be open next time, if there will be a next time.

Liked Had clean toilet.
Disliked Everything else. Avoid. Do not even have to write anything else as the pics will show why. Refurb is of course needed from time to time, however being told when it had been closed 2 weeks prior. Booked for specimen lakes access, was told we are not allowed as only for lodges but when booked it stated for holiday makers. They have since changed their website but again was told something when booking, and then they changed it as and when they pleased.

Liked Lovely place with fishing lakes that blend well in to the site. Walks and mountain bike rides from the site.The. Couple that run it are lovely taking time to see everything is fine and explain fishing and the lakes and the fish in them. Plenty of places to vist and sea side areas too. The cafe was unfortunately closed unavoidable but they are improving it so it can open again and offer a lot more. It will be great when it’s done. The WIFi was really good best we have had.

Liked We were the only ones touring 🤭 we were right next to the lake, facilities were great. It’s really quiet the surroundings are lovely.
Disliked The Bailiff needs to be more vigilant. A few people without unhooking mats and one that turned up without a net! His checking to make sure they’ve got tickets so should be checking they at least have the gear to be there!
I do think it’s quite expensive per night compared to others we’ve stayed at.
