There are several reasons why Pear Tree Cottage at Poplar Farm place is so well-liked by its guests: proximity to the sea, wow-inducing views of the Lincolnshire Wolds and easy access to heaps of footpaths and bridleways that crisscross the local area and coastline. Hidden away down a private country lane and set in a level and well-maintained two-acre field, this smashing little hidey hole lies among peaceful coastal countryside and is a short drive away from several beaches and resorts along the Lincolnshire coast, including Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells and Skegness, with the nearest – Huttoft – an easy mile away. For stuff to do nearby, a spectacular seafront golf course lies around two miles away, and if you’re of the horsey persuasion, this is a good spot to base yourself for hacks along the sand and coastal bridleways, as Lincolnshire County Council permits riding on all of its beaches. The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a short drive away too for long hikes and bike rides. When you return to Poplar Farm after a long day of seeing and doing along this area’s stunning coastline, swing by Alford, around 15 minutes’ drive away, to pick up a few bits to throw on a barbecue back at base, or give yourself a break and stick around to dine out at one of several restaurants there. Among the amenities at the site are a bathroom block with toilets and showers, and a laundry room with a tourist information area.

Liked: Friendly and welcoming hosts. The site is beautifully kept, level pitches, small site that is relaxing and peaceful. Excellent location to the beach which takes around 40 minutes down a small country road to reach: but so worth the walk! Alternatively you can drive around 6 minutes and park there.
Bathroom and toilet facilities excellent and being heated was a fabulous touch especially for the chilly September mornings.
Great site for our dogs, the long driveway with large grasses verges is great toilet facilities for them with waste bins provided.
Will definitely return, a superb find!

Liked: Immaculate site with lovely owners.

Caravan hardstandings are very well maintained as are the general grounds. Toilet/shower and washing facilities are the best you can find anywhere. Excellent pot wash, and use of washing machine and tumble dryer.

Good proximity to the beaches and other local facilities.

Highly recommend to anybody.

Liked: We really liked the location of the camping site as so near a beautiful beach and the friendly hosts.
The site was small and intimate, very pretty and quiet with excellent facilities.
It was also very well maintained.

Liked: Driving up the drive way, we got a welcome greeting from David, the grounds are beautifully kept, good size pitches,both toilet and shower room were upto hotel specification, lovely clean and always smelt fresh, both David and his wife made us very welcome, lovely walk to the beach, also not too far from town centres either way, would definitely recommend for adults only to visit this beautiful site,

Liked: A nice, helpful
welcome from Dave. It's a tiny sight, a very pretty, well manicured cottage garden, absolutely immaculate! My hardstanding and grass pitch was level and a very decent size. I woke up this morning to the sound of birdsong, just so peaceful. Fantastic shower and all facilities perfectly clean and good free WiFi.
An excellent dog friendly beach ( Huttoft Car Terrace ) just a 5 min drive away. Highly recommended!

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
There is no reception at this site. Please check in at the farm house instead.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 14 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
